Here it’s 7 a.m., a cool breeze airs the house. The pets love it, me too.
The storm last night broke the old apple tree in front of the shed. So I will start the chainsaw on the weekend and start cutting. No need for hurry.
I have no appointments for 3 days. I guess I will enjoy being at home, peaceful, undisturbed.
Need to do some grocery shopping and weeding, the neverending story of being behind with mowing continues.
I will enjoy my weekend, today it’s taking it easy and see what I get done. For sure some naps, yes, I need naps in this heat.
Now it’s tea and feeding the pets, chores afterwards as the house is cool this morning

Edit to add: It’s noon and I had a wonderful nap on the carpet with my big dog. Fell asleep there after brushing while cuddling him. Cats sleep on the balcony. I guess today is a sleepy day
Not a whole lot planned. Hopefully the blower motor for the AC is in stock so that the repair guy can come back today to fix. My rental has been without ac for a week and it’s been a hot week. They don’t believe in fans so are just suffering. I’m also hoping the wait window is t crazy as I have run out of errands in the area and don’t feel like sitting in the nearby parking lot all day.

My big dog will get training again today and we try the first night out without me at the boarding kennel. I’m nearby if that’s too much for 1 day and he gets uncomfortable.
So hopefully I will enjoy a day and night with no petchores, relaxing at the spa.
Plans changed.
Instead of spa I’m back home, the dog is knackered from training, me too. They suggested to leave him for 2 nights minimum to get accustomed to it. So we will do a training unit in 3 weeks and then he stays there from friday to sunday. He already remembers places and people, that’s good.
Gotta nap now, I’m done for today, tired to my bones.
Glad I got up an went for a swim today. Luckily I got a lane and the gym was not too crowded. I won $50 from my June gym challenge which was a great treat. Practicing self care today. Dinner plans with my aunt (think she is looking in on me cause I’m solo for the long weekend - gotta love family!
My day is half over. Was zombie slow in the morning, it got better but now I’m back to tired as it is raining. The dog is afraid of thunder and a nervous annoyance. I will take a nap. Later I’m going to a classic concert with a friend, a beautiful way to start the weekend
Happy Friday! Went out for drinks with people from work. Even with nearly five years, it is a bit lonely to be the only one not throwing back beers at first. But then the sloppiness and negativity starts to come out. Just a bit, but I am glad I always have my faculties 100%. There was some gentle ribbing at me having a ramune drink at the end of the night, a kids drink, see below. But it was sweet and delicious.
For 20+ years, I’ve applied for various reality outdoor competition shows, submitting essays, head shots, videos etc. and each year bupkis.
That all changed yesterday when out of the blue I got a call from a show I applied for back in February. How exciting! Anyways, it’s still a long shot as I am sure there’s a vetting process that I’d go through, but it’s finally more than I’ve ever gotten before! I have a call with them later today and will know more. Stay tuned!
Also, after months of no interviews, my wife FINALLY landed like 3 of them this week, so thats great movement there!

Not a whole lot going on. Humidity is super high today - over 87% at the moment and is so flipping sticky here. Turned the AC back on as it will hit over 98% humidity tonight. WTF - grateful we have the AC. Grateful I don’t have any work to do outdoors.

My younger sisters from chosen family are coming tomorrow for a 3 day visit
We will do the makeup for my youngest sister, she gets married in september, I guess we will try a lot and also do her hair to see what she likes most
Lots of cooking, pampering, chatting and having a good time ahead.
I guess I will be offline until they leave, so don’t miss me folks, I’ll enjoy sisters time
