Gonna be a rainy Friday and Saturday! I’m working on some customized 2026 calendars. Gotta move on that! Another thread here (already forgot which one) resurrected the annual debate: Is Die Hard a Christmas movie? Been years…maybe I’ll watch it.

Friday and on vacation in sunny Detroit. Lions game (sober for the win) last night. Pistons (sober again) tonight. First a bundled walk down to some monuments and to peek at Canada across the water.
Lots of drunk folks last night means lots of hungover people today. I’m happy to not be one of them.
I got to hear the very sweet couple next to me at the game last night turn on each other when one had too much to drink. There will be booze as an option tonight when I go to the arena but I’ve been saving room for a fizzy brown soda and some popcorn. Forward progress is halted by alcohol so no thanks.

This Friday took a turn…got in a fairly bad car accident this morning. The day has its own plans. No swimming, no work. Car is totaled and thankfully we all walked away from the accident. Pretty banged up - so very grateful to be able to rest and heal.
In a lot of pain.. lol ..so what’s new. Just in different areas of the body. Brother got me a bunch of cool shoes / movies from the library to keep me entertained.

Welcome to Sober Friday!
I’ve been pretty stressed all week. Lots going on and feeling overwhelmed and stretched thin, but one thing that was weighing heavy on my mind just resolved itself, such a relief. Right now, I am going to my son’s high-school to watch the play, Radium Girls, that he’s in, as it’s opening night. After that, going out to dinner, maybe.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. my days are filled with sleep, taking meds, doing inhalations, walk the dog on a towline so he gets a bit motion and I can stand and rest. being sick sucks.

Thank you for asking . In pain but moving more. Successful in taking a shower so I’m a happy camper. In my way to see the doctor. Grateful my parents are taking me. I really have no desire to drive at the moment.

I’m a day late but still checking in. With a TMI post 
Struggling with some pelvic issues well over a month. Not much help with doc and things kinda worsened the other day, so off I went to our rural small emerge to get more answers. Long story short, another friggen kidney stone (well I always have them, but this biggie is lodged in my lower ureter). Emerge doc hopes it will pass but I’m not hopeful based on size. So, I wait. Hopefully back to my old urologist. Already had three surgeries for them so I’m thinking a fourth could be soon. Ultrasound shows kidney & ureter swelling. At least I see my family doc Tuesday. Fun times!! off to take kiddo soon to a birthday party. I’ll do some errands and maybe a bite out

Oh no!! My daughter went thru a similar bout recently, as did my Dad. Hard pain to manage, hope things resolve quickly for you.

Glad you had some resolution @HoofHearted , I know the place of not knowing is a twisty place to hang. 
We are away on holiday before my surgery, so am relishing time away from home and daily life. I thought it was Friday 
! Lots of drinking people here, everywhere around me, husband included. He over indulged last night and it was exasperating for me…lots there, but not something I need to tangle much with, certainly something we have long discussed…resolution is out of my hands. I am grateful those days of shame and self hate and self abuse are behind me. I look and feel so fresh in the mornings, I love that for me. I wish that clarity and happiness for everyone who struggles. It can seem impossible…it did to me…but we are stronger than we know.
Today is the day we have.

@Mbwoman so grateful that things worked out as they did with the ride home and the day being one I could take off of work. Blessed with a beautiful loving family.
@Salty thank you ..it was scary when the shock wore off. Now I can’t seem to shake the fright. I know I will. I am so sorry to read about yet another kidney stone! Omg- I am so sorry your body is going through this and this one seems especially painful. Hope you feel relief soon
@JasonFisher lol…I like that …fucked up Fri is behind us. Have to make way for better and brighter days. December is my month (yup- I claimed the whole month 
) and I will make sure that it treats me better.
