2 hours until my Friday starts! I’ll be asleep by then, no doubt.

@erntedank should be into Friday morning soon. And I think @AyBee should be halfway thru Monday by now.

Silly timezones.

Friday morning here, sun not up yet; just after 0500. Enjoying my half-caf coffee, listening to snoring on one side, and the chatter of kiddo upstairs. He’s got my early bird genes :joy:
Last day of school for him, and last day at this school, so it’s bittersweet. It’s been so great for him there. I’m off work today (hooray!). His school is having a little carnival and parents join for a picnic lunch, then we supervise the chaos of carnival/bouncy castle/snow cones etc.
Edit, might bring pizza for our little picnic. He requested that or pancakes :joy:

Happy friday folks! It’s mid afternoon here and I’m done. Fix & Foxi. Out of order. Bulldozed. Did 4 hours of heavy mowing at my mum’s house after the lawn was mulched yesterday. I’m not made for this kind of work anymore. My body aches, my head cooks (too hot, too much sun) and only 1/3 of the garden done.
I had the best cool shower that ever showered on a friday noon when I came home
The curry I ordered was delicious as always from my favourite indian restaurant.
I have a cold pad on my forehead to calm the headache, purring Missi on me and snuggling Tiglat behind my knees as I cuddle up on the couch.
And this is how my friday is going to stay :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I left my freshly watered and rinsed houseplants out in the shed last night so I had to rush to get them inside before the heat of the day baked them. Dang, I have so many plants it’s a bit ridiculous. But I love them. I started finding spots to put them, even if temporary. An electrician is here to put in the proper outlet for our dryer. Thank goodness for that! Although it’s been kind of fun hanging things to dry on a rigged up line outside. I do want to put in a permanent clothesline eventually. Then I’ll be putzing around the house because like @erntedank I got myself a bit fried yesterday moving things in the heat and I’m feeling it today. Maybe we’ll pack the cars up after the heat breaks later on. Still plenty to do at the rental…I just want to be done with it! I anticipate a pretty relaxing night before we put some more work in tomorrow!

I’m pretty nervous about this weekend.

Still no electricity/cooling in the greenhouse, and we’re gonna hit 105-110. Even though it means they won’t get light I’m considering moving them indoors.

Electrician called me earlier in the week and said this coming Monday. I’m hopeful, but I’ve also gotten that line 2 or 3 times now

Yikes. Summer is in full swing, that’s for sure. Can you/would you bring them inside temporarily until this gets sorted? It might at least alleviate your worries for now.

I would, it’s just a huge pain in the ass - not to mention the space they take up.

They might be OK, but if I go touch them later in the day, you can feel they’re really fucking hot. Stuff that was growing has kinda slowed down a bit because of it.

I totally get the pain in the ass aspect! Lol, ass aspect is fun to say  I hope they’ll be fine in the long run and it makes sense that their growth has slowed as a result. I’m hopeful they will get back to business when their environment is optimum. Hang in there, plant dad!

Happy friday. This has been a 60 hour work week for me so I am happy to see it end. I only have 8 hours of work separating me from my weekend. I crushed my savings goal though so it was worth it.

Tomorrow I’m driving my sister to a baby shower 3 hours away. She is still a big drinker and embodies a lot of the negativity that comes with that so this will either be annoying or bonding time with a healthy reminder of why I choose sobriety. Either way I have a cute outfit and could use some wind in my hair. Plus this baby will make me a Great Aunt, in the past I was mediocre at best. :sunglasses:

Sunday I’m going to a triple A baseball game and then to the theater to see the new Wes Anderson movie. I’ll tell you what I won’t do, ruin any of this great momentum with a nasty, depressing, drag you down glass of alcohol.

I talk about work too much on this thread, in the future I’ll (ahem) work on that. Happy Friday all!
