I have no real plan for today. Waking up at the farm was wonderful, the weather is beautiful, I already did some chores and have me-time now. I need to find the catās litterboxes whereever my ex stashed them. Finding things here is like searching easter eggs

Happy Friday 
Iām on my way home in the train. Iām dying bc itās so hot today and Iām masked up again. One round Covid is enough, donāt want more.
When Iām home Iāll check the mail hoping that I got a notification from DHL. Every German here might know the struggle with the DHL Packstation?
Itās funny, let me explain.
When you buy something online you can choose where itās sent to. Either your home adress, a shop that cooperates with DHL or a Packstation. This is a pick up station with lots of boxes where the post man puts your package in. You can use an App to open this boxes to get your stuff. But there is a tiny problem.
To be able to open it you have to wait for a letter from DHL with a code on it. You have to walk to the Packstation with this letter and your cellphone. Then you have to scan the letter with your cellphone with the DHL App and then said App should connect with the Packstation.
And IF everything works you get your stuff.
I was furious yesterday bc I donāt understand how someone can invent such a terrible system.

Well, day 2 of 7 where I wasnāt able to get my stuff. Iāll buy it again today, but this time standard delivery to my home adress or a shop. That should be here by next week Tuesday or so. Itās possible that this is the faster way 
The package in the Packstation will be sent back automatically after 7 days.
@erntedank I didnāt know either! Theyāre doing a lot of commercial for the Packstation here and that itās super easy and fast. Yeahā¦maybe in their dreamsā¦ Iām sure it was a BĆ¼rohengst who had this glorious idea hahaha

Happy Friday! Iām taking Penny to her 4 year appointment, maybe sheāll get some shots. Sheās not too jazzed about the shots, but she loves the doctor.
Got a bit of work to do and then packing up for my gig tomorrow. Iāve been practicing since late July for a gig at the Seattle Thai Festival, and tomorrow is show time!

I lied, its not the Dr. appt, today is a dentist appointment. Just an evaluation for a cavity, then the real fun later this month. We are at the dentist office now, sheās scared and shaking but she wont let me hug her because sheās also brave.

In my experience the system improved a lot during the past years. I gave them an Abstellgenehmigung. Fertig. Hope youāll have your parcel soon.

ooh - what a sweet girl - i do hope all goes well for her and it is a pleasant experience. i know the dentist / doctors offices even now make me feel anxious.

The Abstellgenehmigung doesnāt always work because someone still needs to open the main door. And sometimes they carry it to an office on the other end of my city 
I reordered the stuff, it will be here on Monday.
Never ever Packstation.
But yes, it got way better than it once was. And theyāre always friendly

Thank you!! I think it will be good, we are playing like 12 pop/rock songs that are from Thailand, songs Iāve never heard before, but they are pretty easy on the drums. We rehearsed last night and had a couple of issues, but Iām sure itāll be fine. Just gotta work on the performance anxiety and itāll be all good!

Today flew by. Work is busy busy with budget season and my new role. Feeling fullfilled. Gained perspective from my years of depression and addiction. I feel reborn like i have a new lease on life. I hope this gratitude never wears off

Friday night here and Iām off work. Bobās Burgers, ice cold water and some battle tactics against a few ants who are trying to move in.
The weekends have been busy lately so Iām looking forward to a relaxing one.
I feel the same @Cjp, my perspective has done some shifting this week and Iām feeling so much more centered and confident. Looking back on my alcoholic depressive days seems so far away, (and so insane) but I know it isnāt. I could jump back onto the carousel at any time if I really wanted to fuck up everything. Just for today I wonāt. Enjoy your weekends all!
