It is technically only Thursday here so if the police come to take me away while I type this thats why.
Have I told you all that I’m walking my state? There is a scenic path along the Mississippi River that stretches about 330 miles. I have a great friend who joins me and brings her husband (he’s our camp host and chauffeur and all around good guy). We go as often as we can which is about a weekend every 6 weeks and started at the beginning of this summer. I hope we make 30 miles in the next 3 days. We aren’t fast but we are having some fun adventures and seeing lots of dead turtles.
This weekend is a walking weekend so I’ll be off the internet for a few days as I recharge on a highway and in a tent. Stay sober all.

Does the Mississippi river have lots of dead turtles? I may have missed something about the water.

The forecast says rain for Saturday on the Macgregor to Guttenberg stretch which will be this weekend. I’ve never heard of anyone doing it either. So far it has been really adventurous, very physical and a lot of fun.

We’ve seen quite a few squished turtles. I would imagine they are trekking to the river before they meet with an untimely death by tire. I don’t take many pics but I will try to snag a few this weekend just for ya’ll.

My friday has NO plans 
I have the whole weekend to me.
So far I woke up before the alarm with the old boy sleeping peacefully on my belly 
Haven’t left the bed yet, took time to read around, catch up here on TS and thinking about the past and the present.
As the sun is coming out I will get up now, make tea, feed the cats and read the newspaper on the balcony.
I feel like spoiling myself today, I will comeback later to share how it’s going
