I would trim the leaves, two inches from the center. They are resilient. Add any soil to top. Never should look wet. Dry is your answer. One cup a week is plenty. For the aloe, not you. :grin::grin::joy::rofl::joy:

Second batch of peonies coming out. I don’t understand why they grow so tall because they only flop over when they flower.

Also got these petunias at the garden centre today, amazing.
