My first Romaine seedling. There is no Romaine where I live. So funny. Hope the rest of them will follow.
Nice do you need grow light or anything? Is this indoors or out?
All natural. Outside. Light watering. Now I know that it works I will start my other seedlings in crates, lined with garbage bags so I can cover them in cold nights easily. I saw some people covering them with clear plastic cups too.
May I ask what region/country youâre in? Does it get cold?
Montenegro. It does get cold but only a few freezing nights. Hardly ever snows. With a little effort, you can keep the peppers going all year around and the tomatoes well into December.
Those tomatoes look uh-may-zing.
I have seen an online subscription to a sed bank in the UK that sells lots of varieties of heritage veg. Going to get signed up for the allotment.
Havenât been to the allotment for a few weeks but have been collecting cardboard and just went down to put some down where my first bed will be.
Now just need to work out what to grow and when to plant it!
What plant is that? They are really pretty.
Arenât they? They are hellebores. Magical little things that bloom in winter. Some folks call them Lenten Rose.
I love them. We call them talviruusu meaning winter rose
I love them too!
I get them from Botanical Interests in US. They are heirloom and every single seed I got from them sprouts. I mostly grow peppers, very easy. Love hot stuff. About to receive my order. Getting close to the time to start them indoors for early harvest.
Good luck!
Good to know!
Allotment plan⌠Fruit bushes already there just need cutting back a bit. The rest I need to add in!
Nice! What fruit bushes do you have?
There are lots, I inherited them when I took on the plot. Gooseberries (white and red), blackcurrants, redcurrants, raspberries (red and yellow) and blackberries. And there are strawberry shoots all over, I need to work out how to contain them!
@anon12657779 it looks organised but I havenât actually done anything on it yet
I know but youâre further along than me.
Strawberries just pull the ones you donât want. The ones we have at work are in a raised bed contained by timber. Have to thin them out every year.
