Gardening In Recovery

Flower envy! Especially love the hibiscus. Obviously you do not have a deer issue…they adore hibiscus.

Love your basket and herb garden!!

You will! I love watching them do their thing. How marvelous!

I must try this.
Would be a great sprinkle over so many things.
Powderising it will be an interesting process.

With an excess of baby Roma tomatoes one year I put heaps through the dehydrator to make Tomaisins - Tomato Raisins.
Delicious as a snack as-is, or added to sauces, salads etc.

Those look delicious!

It was my first experiment with my new dehydrator. At 8 hours my tomatos were chewy like a great “sun-dried” texture. It took about 30 hrs before they were dry enough to grind into a powder.

Wow. 30 hours.
Though makes sense. Things need to be bone dry before they will turn to dust. I will definitely try it sometime.

You just reminded me I needed to! Just tried some flowers there, they’re good! Kind of like cucumber but better.
I’m going to make the most of them whilst they’re still there, flowers in salad and cook some of the leaves. :yum:

I grew those Starry Sky Petunias one year and they’re simply remarkable! Lovely garden.

I so wanted to grow wildflowers this year and even bought seeds, but I fear I’m too late. I did sprinkle some poppy seeds in my front bed, so we shall see. Yours are glorious!

These chiles are off the chain! I might experiment using some of them in fajitas this weekend, most likely the “Holy Mole” ones (darkest in color and mildest).
