I love the coleus! They last so long. Also good for propagating in water!

I’m particularly excited about the coleus! I really am hoping to bring some plants in from outside to over winter this year, or at least cuttings.

Coleus is a good one to try. They do get super leggy. They like a good trim and don’t allow flowering for more fullness. I always loved the vibrant green ones. Sounds like a fun project!!

Getting things sorted into their pots. I was going to build this myself but we had to divide and conquer today, so Eric built this compost sifter for me. It is perfect, sized to this black tub to collect sifted compost and even has edges to keep it in place.

Oh wow, a sifter, ingenious! Would take out those egg shells that vex my partner so much. Lol I love eggs.

Yup! Get the big chunks out and back into the compost! I put a couple egg shells in that haven’t changed at all of course, so I’ve been collecting them separately to grind and add to the compost when I use it

The lemon verbena and the laurel from last year especially are doing fantastic this spring. Today added this jostaberry to my balcony garden. They say it could work up here. Beginning to look really happy and green out there :sun_with_face: :sunglasses: :palm_tree:

Caught a break in the rain and hail this afternoon to grab some rhubarb. Made a small batch of apple rhubarb butter.

Fingers crossed I get some honeycrisp apples this year on my tree

Here are my banana trees in our garden in the Netherlands. I kept them in my garden during the winter instead of hiding them for the frost in my shed.
Cut them off and covered the tree trunks with a big pile of autumn leaves and some plastic to protect it from cold and rain.
It works! They all are still alive and giving leaves now. Curious how tall they will be this year! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

My first time trying to grow vegetables, I have to grow them in the front garden as only few hours of sun hits the back.
I love the lemon balm, I put It in my tea pot and it’s good for anxiety :slightly_smiling_face:
Just a few things iv got growing in the pics, and think some need to be transferred to larger pots but worried il ruin their growth.

Not quite sure what the last 3 are, the home made labels I made disintegrated.

The last one looks like a tomato and the second to last look like a squash of some sort, or pumpkin? Not sure about the third to last. It’s all looking quite healthy!
