I’m quite excited everyday I’m out there checking them :slightly_smiling_face: I thought tomatoes too. I planted cucumber seeds, bell peppers, courgettes, chillies, tomatoes, lemon balm and chamomile. I’m excited to see what becomes of them, and that they are looking healthy. Thank you

I had to hurry up and plant my flowers/foliage last night since we are going out of town and I’ve been too sick to do it lately. I have no idea if they’re paired appropriately for their growth but I can do some rearranging when we get back. Hubby also planted my veggies for me with the wrong soil and too deep in the pots so I’ll have my work cut out for me. It’s the thought that counts :grimacing::laughing:

Had to prioritize getting the rest of my garden in yesterday before surgery. The mosquitoes were horrendous!

Compost volunteers…and I have so much weeding to do in the garden because I didn’t really compost properly. Oh well! Eric wants me to just let it grow but I need to turn it all over.

Everything is taking off well. More photos soon.

The ground squirrels have eaten most of my plants down to the ground. But the chamomile is taking over the garden paths in such a whimsical way I can’t even stay mad.

How have all of your sprouts been doing? Hopefully your chamomile will flourish and self seed in coming years so you can enjoy as well! :relaxed: I’m always amazed how much sweeter the tea is with fresh grown than with store bought. It is a lovely treat.

Mine are coming along but as you say will take a while for the patch to be anything more than a few tea i think atm
I dont buy the teabags of it anymore i buy organic chamomile from amazon and the taste is so amazing and refreshing and different, it has been dried but it is the flowers heads, and it doesnt stain my cups like a tea bag !!
The Lemon balm is really coming along as well.

Great to see you out after your surgery! I have grown Swiss Chard a lot… I had about 6 0r 7 feet of it, so a lot, but when cooking it I would usually get 40 leaves… and cook down in a skillet with garlic and whatever else. I ended up preferring to eat the Swiss Chard raw in salads and just loved, loved, loved it. Obviously big old tough leaves are not the answer but big leaves that are still glossy will work fine, just tear the leaves in pieces, say a 50 cent piece. I ate many salads that were all Swiss Chard as far as the green would go. Also heavy additions in to lettuce and spinach salads. The point is that you do not have to focus only on baby Swiss Chard for salads, big leaves will work fine and you wont wipe out your chard like you will cooking it. I like it better taste wise raw, than cooked.
The chamomile just looks gorgeous and where is @erntedank … I want to be able to mow lemon balm!
@Twizzlers happy gardening, I remember you talking about doing it a long time ago!
@RosaCanDo soon you will be in your amazing summer bounty!
