I’m grateful for an unexpected day off, my friend S, for all my animals especially my dogs, for freshly baked naan and for my garden and many plants.

Grateful for:
- Being present for my two teenage daughters and for the pride they show me in not drinking any more.
- For not having terrible blackouts and making stupid decisions under the influence that resulted in shame and or bruises, accidents ti my body
- For not having horrible hangovers and physical symptoms, like sore arms, banging head, upset stomach
- For the amazing sleep I have now and waking up fresh even if I go back to sleep to enjoy this some more
- For not being angry post drinking and ashamed and cross that I couldn’t just have a couple but was one of the last standing and then left to carry a friend in a worse state than me- that I used to use as a reason not to see myself as an alcoholic as they were in a worse state. Now I see that made no sense and stopped me from taking this leap and becoming sober. Thank you God, I never say that but you must have had a part in this too.
