grumpy a holes quitting nic
i was going to talk about cravings and how they suck but the title says it all
i dont want to smoke ciggs for the whole time i live which means one day i will have to quit.
id rather that be sooner, then later or too late
ive been hearing my friends say they want to quit or docters suggesting to others to quit.
i see pamflips or programs to help people quit
but my mind plays tricks on me when im craving.
my head says smoke a cigg, youve done so well
my heart says i wont even enjoy it
i guess im wayy over thinking it because my heart is the truth
i wont enjoy it
i have 4 full days cigg free
i just wanted to write the craving away
i aint giving in yet
thank you for your on going support
Smokes is next on my list. I decided I would either need 60 or 90 days on my alcohol journey first as not to overload myself with different cravings constantly.
take it nice and easy
little stepts at a time
I have found that little steps lead to better long term changes.
Well I ended up having a few smokes at the weekend. Need to work on finding my motivation for being smoke free cos at the moment it just isn’t there. Hormones and reducing antidepressant dose probably not helping.
I don’t have cigarettes at home to smoke so for now I am still smoke free…
Darn. Are you tapering off slowly?
So I ordered Alan Carr’s book…we will see how it goes. Smokes are my last vice …I’ve quit meth, sugar, caffine…pretty sure this one of the hardest I’ve had to do…ugh
Yea all in line with Drs advice. The antidepressants, not the smoking
Day 50. Honestly, i hardly think about it atm. Im not getting cocky tho, its still early days. But right now, all good
Great news
Excellent friend! One day at a time and all that but well done so far!
Brilliant well done. Im starting day 58 today and I feel very much the same as you. I’m hoping the hardest part is behind us. I even forgot to take my nicotine spray to work the other day, that must be a good thing.
