If you have a running shoe store they are super helpful. The first one I went to was amazing! They had a treadmill and a little track. They watched me run on both and were able to help me find shoes that fit the way I run.

@Dan531 I’ve heard good things about saucony too. I haven’t tried them because of the price. Hokas are suppose to be good as well but I just can’t get past their look.

This past month my goal was 4 virtual workouts a week and while I didn’t hit that I’m good with my overall breakdown. I plan my week and then each day I do whatever was planned I put it on the calendar. I want to track for the rest of the year but I figure day by day and then reflect on the month is best to try and not become overwhelmed.

Did the best run I’ve had in a real long while. 56 minutes and 1,000 calories burned :flushed: :eyes:
I think the best part of this is that I just did it myself and it’s been a slow work and trudge and build-up and just practicing over and over mostly.
I’ve desperately been wanting to get my numbers backup to this and it feels so validating that I’m finally here again. Especially without the pre-workout stuff etc. (Barred from them for life by my psych lol. For good reason too trust me)
Thanks for the support everyone shows in this corner of TS, I like having a fitness commune section that’s in a healthy headspace as well.

Separately, thanks also for the outdoor running shoe recs! I added a great pair to my Amazon cart after researching ASICS options and plan to get next month

Today was a major victory for my journey in self control and regulating the way I handle the wall I was happy to not be facing again, yet.
Except there it was today, right there in the inner monologues whispering “we’re doing pretty good, we’ve been working pretty hard. Maybe time for a break night and a way overdue ‘treat night’ and eat whatever your heart desires?”
I promptly let the mfer know that as tempting as it was, I know right where this part leads to. Tomorrow’s irritation. Resetting my no binges timer (11 days already!). Mood swings and victim brain.
I did some breathing, talked to my husband and just finished…
a 45 min run and 40 min weight/resistance sesh
I’m feeling great now, reaffirmed the motto of consistency vs motivation

Insanity is no joke. I finished it in 2015, I’ll never do it again :upside_down_face:. I started out with T25 and did insanity after it lost 37 pounds between the 2.

Didn’t post this morning but woke up and busted out a solid 25 mins and did a 4 mile walk today so not bad lol!

Just busted out a one hour run on my elliptical and burned just over 960 cals! Finished out with an ab workout and treating myself to an hour of practicing piano
