Just did the thing again and busted out a 45 min elliptical run plus ten minutes of abs, including new V-up record! Yeass!
Keeping a physical workout log and reporting here in TS is very helpful for the consistency of it all, thanks for letting me just post all the time lol
Tried out some of these cute sumo squats and sumo deadlifts today for the first time after hearing good things about them. Thighs are blissful now and the old head is a bit quieter aswell, finally Jumped straight to the intermediate level on the squats and pretty close on the deadlifts too.
ugh this really irked me as I do almost no cardio (cos it’s lame!) apart from cycling my bike everywhere and my short rowing warumups and I’m really not fit and someone else mentioned another one of these programs on another thread - so I got my man and we did one of these insanity circuits on the unused basketball court in our neighbourhood. I did the entire thing you guys! form obvs nowhere near as accurate as the ppl in the vid, and I admit I could not do any of the pushups towards the end of it, but apart from that, I lasted out! I thought I’d be done in after like 10 min. it was great! thanks for the inspiration! will do again!
Chest day on a monday in a nearly empty gym to kickoff bulk phase week 7 of 12. This is unheard of lol. I’m up 7.7 lbs in 6 weeks. Still working on keeping body fat gain minimal through the bulk. Discipline has been tested alot recently. Stay consistent friends.
Edit: I had a body composition analysis done before leaving today and realized I’m up 9.6 lbs, up 4.8 lbs of skeletal muscle mass, and actually DOWN 0.2% body fat. I’m calling this a midpoint super win.
I ended up with shin splints from jumping on concrete, Idk if you’ve ever had them before but they suck. Good cardio for sure though, congrats on making it through!
no, I have gammy knees and can only jump on soft surfaces, hence the basketball turf. I had to give up running entirely already…
but thanks Dan! it was fun!
Two days hiatus but getting in gear again. I don’t think I’ll take that long of a break again if I can help it.
After missing 2 consecutive days, realizing what a difference it’s really been making in my life day-to-day.
Feeling strong and great right now, returning to the work and making progress even after a pause. I can do this.
Thanks and have a great evening all!
Feeling drained today as I’m working Legs. The higher I add weight in order to continue to progressively overload during my bulk, the harder it is to hit 4 sets of 12, especially right now as I’m not feeling 100%. Oh well, they can’t all be gain days. As the previous sergeant major of the US Army says: physical training may not be the most important thing you do in A day, but it is the most important thing you do EVERY day. Stay consistent, friends. I’m trying to today.
Love that quote and the mindset behind it, consistency really is key I’m starting to learn. The gains process always seems to put that to the test at least a little, definitely hope it was still a good leg day in the end though!
Another day of doing the things! I actually got up and ran in the morning this time for the first time in a couple weeks! Made a huge difference in my day. Split workouts is definitely the way that works best for me.
Had to take a break from mixing lower with upper bc knees so more body resistance and upper body focused tonight (which is fine bc I don’t need to ruin my knees like that anyways )
Working out has saved me in my recovery! It gave me something great to focus on, and putting the effort a d energy into myself and my health was so beneficial!
