Took a brief hiatus Sunday & Monday but started up again last night with a great 40 min weights/ resistance workout

Then also just now finished a 1 hour run which I am absolutely hooked on doing as it clears the mind like no other.
Plus excuse for blasting loud music w/my nice new headphones, so :ok_hand:

Just did a 20 min run tonight bc I need personal relaxing time but wanted something for accountability purposes. Tmw morning I’ll bust out an hour but tonight I wanna play a game w/ my friends.
Did the run for long enough to stave off a wild urge to binge also, was real strong and took all my willpower not to binge on cake and chips :eyes::triumph: but I did it and avoided the sabotage, so there’s that lol

Did get just over 14,000 steps though as well so that’s a good thing

Good work. All cravings, regardless of the substance generally have a lifespan of about 20 minutes. Running is certainly better than cake lol. At least better for you.

I have returned; full body workout with increased weights and a great combination of free weights and body resistance. Got a full 40 minutes and ready to wake up tomorrow and run for an hour :triumph::fist:

Chest day. Sobriety day 409. Bulk week 9 of 11. I have had to transition to early morning workouts with my new job’s hours. This means big lifts pre breakfast on an empty stomach. I’ve also shortened rests between sets to 30 seconds rather than my normal 60 in order to shorten workout duration so I can get a bit more sleep. 5 am is my self imposed earliest wakeup limit lol. This all is really pushing the current muscle fatigue and stamina limits during the workout. I like the shock to the system.

I had a disappointing weigh in this week with a loss of 0.2 lbs. Still attempting to gain lean muscle with minimal fat gain. I’m up almost 10 lbs for the bulk thusfar with a small loss of body fat and substantial lean muscle mass gain but seem to have hit a plateau. I’m nervous about jumping up to 4,000 cal/day out of fear of too much fat gain but may have to for the last 3 weeks here. Stay consistent friends.

I have to do pre-breakfast morning lifts too, because of my schedule. I feel your pain man haha

Wasn’t able to do a full hour but got in a good 45 minutes this morning. Getting better at longer stretches without stopping completely or even having to do the real slow walk lol. It feels good to be making that sort of progress and covering more distance.

Back day. Sobriety day 410. Bulk week 9/11. Friends from out of town came in for a couple days and we stayed up catching up later than I usually do so I’m tired today. My discipline and resolve was tested when that alarm rang at 5 lol. Got up and came to my happy place anyway. Glad I did. I’m feeling pretty awesome right now.

Turned 44 today and had to max out benching (haven’t done that in quite a while). I had 305 I’m sure but went for 315 and failed BUT i nailed 300! That’s over 1.5 times body weight, not bad for a old man, I’m pumped :sunglasses:.
