Hit the gym today! It was really hard avoiding the gym for a week and a half while my son and I recovered from our flu. I told myself that i needed my body to recover first. I did biceps and back today and a little cardio afterwards. Even though my dumbbell weight did not change, i couldnt do quite as many reps (still within my goal range tho). Cardio was tough i tell ya lol i felt out of shape. Surprisingly though i only gained .8lbs in that week and a half. Ill take it bcuz my eating was horrendous and i wasnt working out. Grateful to be working out again
Completed another day of weight training. Did upper body today. Really need to up my game for cardio this week. I much prefer weight training over cardio lol Anyway, feeling accomplished today
Just finished a 25 min strength and agility session. It’s been a while, I’ve lost so much definition but i don’t care. I’m just doing this bc i can, for myself, selfishly. No more reasons than that anymore.
I almost gave it up for a while; i only want to do every other day from now on as well. I dug myself into a deep burnout trench from lack of personal restraint and boundaries before, and kind of scared myself as i looked back, during my hiatus.
Be back thought for sure, think i got it this time around
Good on you, Im still lying in bed thinking of all the reasons i can miss swimming today instead of just getting up and going how lazy of me this morning!!
Thanks! Also I love swimming, but still the feeling is so relatable, sometimes it’s just not gonna be the day and other times it’s easy to just do the things lol
Thinking to do some small weight routines maybe instead this morning and tonight go for a swim as to help me exhaust myself so a good nights sleep will happen.
Have a great day today
I enjoy weights more than cardio also. But I have to kick it up a gear because I hit the ice for the first time in 4 years this weekend for a hockey game. Got my new skates and ready to rock
Love the skates!! Hockey is a crazy workout all on its own! Ive never done it but i obviously seen it and u definitly have to be in good shape to play. I used to watch ball hockey games back home as well and i cant imagine constantly running up and down the court.
My stamina also needs to improve. But skate for a week and ur stamina will have returned im sure. Idk what it is about cardio that kind of makes me cringe lol but its necessary. Gotta work the heart muscle and lungs n all that. Plus my overall goal is to build up and lean up. Youre skates look great tho! Im glad u got them
Hope it goes well! Sometimes just a shorter concentrated session is better, not so much time commitment but still doing the thing, have a good day too!
Impromptu trip to join my son at the gym for Leg day, I hate it, but I love it! Quads are on fire! Maxed a 360kg leg press for 2 sets of 10 reps. Not bad for an old man!
