How are you taking care of yourself today?

I took care of myself today by talking to people at my new job and asking for grace as I have been off of work for a year due to health issues and need time to adjust to being on my feet all day again. They happily sent me home an hour early to rest.

Today I am going to take advantage of the glorious weather, perfect low humidity and sunny warm temps, by spending time in my garden. I’ll do some work on end of season clean up, maybe read for a while and make some sun tea to enjoy with fresh mint. I will find a balance of getting some work done and taking a breath to just enjoy the day. I’ll cook/prepare a nutritious lunch and dinner for my husband and myself. I’ll keep up with my nighttime sleep hygiene routine to set myself up for a good night’s rest. Sounds like a good day ahead, but I’ll take the day as it comes as well.

Yesterday I took care of myself with double AA meetings and a long overdue haircut.

I’ll think of something to do for me today:)

Eating real food / 2 meals / no energy drinks

Be outside 2 to 4 hours

Play basketball/ skateboard

Positive self talk / be kind to myself

Read old journal entry/ make new one

Drink more water

Pray

Also might possibly work on a small painting . I bought some cheap supplies at the dollar store and I’m going to create something . The canvas is the size of a dvd case

Heading to steamboat springs, CO where one of my sober buddies has a condo. I’m so excited to get away and connect with nature and a new setting.

Shopping therapy, all things were needed either for the house or the old dog.
Then some sun bathing. I love that big ball of healing fire in the sky.

It’s time for me to get back to this thread. Feel free to play along, amigos!

Today is day three or so of shitty sleep and some of it is related to beginning some new routines with hopes of improving health and well being. That being said, I decided to get up and take a much needed long, hot shower and make myself some comfort food, watch some tv while I cruise around TS, and then hopefully, with a full belly, take a nap on the couch. I pushed myself yesterday so today I will rest as needed, make sure I eat well and drink lots of water. I will do my daily routines of journaling, including daily gratitude portion, walk my dog in some fresh, pretty snow, and reach out to friends and family.

Today I am taking a bit of a breather and feeling my way through the day. Still not enough sleep but hopeful for tonight. I cooked a giant vat of wonderful nutritious food for us and to share with my elderly neighbors - good for my body, mind and community. I am drinking plenty of water. I am enjoying conversation and laughter with my husband. I am about to listen to some music and knit for peaceful meditative space. I have communicated with family and friends throughout the day and feel connected and content. I think I am doing a good job of taking care of myself today!

Excellent, Rosa. Your neighbors are fortunate to have you. I’ve been feeling the winter blues so today I had a good meeting with my therapist, a very long nap as I am tired and then two TLC meetings tonight. I tend to go back to the basics. It was a good day.

Waking Early.

Having quiet time before everyone else wakes.

Attending an early morning AA meeting.

Today i took care of myself by exercising and eating right :slight_smile: i havent been doing too well at this for weeks but the past 2 days i have worked out and eaten healthy and im proud of that 🩷

That looks de-lish. Kinda reminds me of a Napoleon, if you ever tried one.

By going to a symphonic concert tonight as planned (not allowing my depression to make me stay at home). Enjoying the anticipation by doing my hair, painting my fingernails etc.
