Day 31 and trotting along 
I had a convo with a close friend, a non-addict, the other day, and at the time mentioned that I was a mere 23 days or so sober to which she responded " that isnt that long". She was speaking facts but at the same time it didnt just take 23 days to get to that point⊠it had taken 27 years and 23 days of addiction, relapses, white knuckling, failed attempts at trying to become sober solo, feelings of shame, loneliness, anger, guilt and the list goes on. I say this to encourage others to acknowledge that every day in your recovery counts and is a blessing.no matter if youâre just starting your journey or if you have a healthy and lengthy sobriety.

It is a huge milestone. Most people wont get that. thatâs why its important to stay connected with people who get it.

For sure, it is. Thanks for that. There was a time, hell, not too long ago, that my 8 hour work shift was about the extent of my sobriety, you know. Leaps and bounds beyond that now and progressively getting better.
