What an important day. I’m starting realizing I made the greatest gift of all time to myself and I’m starting feeling this is a solid base to build something glorious on top of it.

474 days.
Approaching 16 months.
Congrats on 2 years sober!!! @furio

Congratulations!

Congratulations on two years!
- After my dad died suddenly on april 21st 2020, i smoked a crazy amount of hash. I was basically high for over a year. Ended up in the ER three times in a month due to excessive vomiting. I couldnt eat, i felt nauseous. The cure to nausea was clearly to smoke more. Turns out i developed cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome.
Im so happy i quit, even though it was hard to finally grieve without numbing myself. I still want to smoke, but i know i cant. Even if i risk it when my brain is telling me i should, if i dont get sick from it, im just going to end up where i was back then. I dont want that. Im sorry for ranting, its just nice to have a place where i can talk about it without being awkward.
So sorry for your loss. Grateful you found a way to quit and grieve without numbing yourself. Welcome to the community
Huge success with your sober days - keep up the great work ![]()
422
I feel like the next mile stone is 450. I’ll have to think of something special to do on that day..Maybe some kind of adventure on my bike or buy something to remember that milestone or day
I am looking forward to 425 will be 14 months… I like the shorter milestones myself…
Yes you do need to do something special…
I spoke to an associate today and it has been many months since we talked. I shared my success in sobriety and they seemed so very pleased for me. This person unfortunately witnessed a drunken episode of mine… So nice to have others recognize the achievement…
So glad you are here my friend.
That’s cool about the associate. And good they can see you’re doing better and in a better place. I know what that’s like having people from my past that have seen me at my worst or seen me do some really dumb things and then they see me now and Honestly usually they are surprised. But our past does not define us. It’s just part of our story. Glad you’re here as well and like I said before I think it’s really cool we share a sobriety date. The only way is forward.. one day at a time
Well, I normally don’t post milestones as it doesn’t mean much to me, but this one is a special one. I was 90 days sober from codependent behaviour yesterday ![]()
Celebrated with a big mug of a lemonade I rarely drink and like very much ![]()
Congrats! I’m glad you shared
90 days is awesome work. Would be so proud to reach that, congratulations!!
