49 and was an alcoholic for the last 21 years. Today will be 58 days clean and the struggle is still real.

I’ll be 48 in September and I feel 88!! Lmao!!! I think I’m going to quit smoking soon!! I am hating the taste of these things and I’m getting headaches from them…uughhh

I had my kids young. Wouldn’t change it. Now I got two besties for life.

That is great to hear. I love a good success story. I’m pretty far behind ya but feeling good about being sober. Some stuff is still in the shitter but I’m handling it sober and that is a success.

I fell in love with booze at 15 too. What a waste of 45 years. But I’m sober now and enjoying sobriety. Keep up the good work. One day at a time.

My kids told me that they love growing old with me, and that they have learned from my mistakes of what not to do lol…but they also have learned from my strengths. I believe nowadays that if you isolate them too much it will push them to go out on their own and not ask questions … and not trust you. There has to be a border line.
I feel reborn in this summer of my 47th year (to play off John Denver a lottle)
