I just might be the oldest one here! 62 but feel and am told I look a lot younger. Been drinking on and off since about 14. Now I am 47 days AF and feel truly amazing. The day came when I decided I dont need alcohol anymore. Been there. Did some really dumb things. Made some really bad decisions and got hurt a couple times. I’ve decided to make the rest of my life the best of my life and alcohol will no longer be a part of it. To all you youngsters out there…don’t wait till you’re my age to fix your problem. Life is short and time flies by!

Yes, isn’t it lovely when folks guess wild out! I’ve had 15 years younger! Think it’s partly that I’m a cheerful expressive type of person (with the complicated conflicts underneath - slowly unraveling)
I am “when I was born both TVs and Phones had dials” years old.

I love it when people guess my age. Everyone generally says I dont look more than 21-23. When I go to start an IV or draw blood on a patient I always get the…“uhhh. How old are you and how long have you been doing this?!” Lol. I just laugh when they dont believe it as I say over 10 years. Lol

My addiction started around the age of 14. I’m now 25 and one year clean. It totally fucked my life up. I really reccomend seriously getting your life on track now get rolling with a career path don’t do what I did it was hell.

27 going on 28 on Aug 9th. - Alcoholic and substance abuser. 2 Days sober. Had a good streak sober of aprox 4 - months. Drank out of boredom, then abused substance for social inclusion.

I teared up reading this. Thanks for encouraging living life sober and start young. I’m about to be 28 and feel so scared that I could’ve died 2- days ago. I’m still going through withdrawal and having emotions but sometimes i wish there was someone like you to tell me to not drink and do drugs.

- Yea, you heard right. Most think I’m around mid 50’s. Husband to a great guy for 34 years now. ( Lots of days I feel I don’t deserve him). Cyclist, architect, painter. Dad to two fur babies Boris and Natasha. Proud owner of a 2019 electric blue Mini Cooper convertible.
