Continuing the discussion from I’m struggling today but it’s nearly two weeks:
Hi Sarah, it’s hard to sit with discomfort, isn’t it? I find that when I plan my day so that it’s all leading up to an AA meeting, I have much less stress and strain about what to do. And if you don’t dig AA, there are plenty of options. I recall people on Talking Sober mentioning Smart Recovery online meetings long before we all had to stay indoors.
Some nice controlled breathing also helps me to focus my mind and brings me a sense of calm. There are guided meditation practices online you can check out to help with that.
