I’m so ready to quit!

It’s so hard to quit! I want it to end! How do I quit?

It starts by asking for help and you already did that :innocent:

Meetings help a lot of people (Resources for our recovery and Online meeting resources have options); Talking Sober is a good place to hang out.

Take it one day at a time and be gentle with yourself. Do self care: get enough rest, be sure you get enough healthy food, lots of water .

Welcome!

What I did was being here every day to check in sober. My addiction is alcohol, so I stripped my place from it and also removed all empty bottles. Even trow away my favorite glass to drink from.
Filled my fridge with heathy food and drinks.
Told my partner about my new sober life and ask for his help.
I avoided every alcohol related events, friends and places the first months.
I celebrated every milestone :confetti_ball:
And asked for help when needed. I read here a lot to learn about addiction and made myself a sober plan to be prepared when cravings kick in.
