When I first started engaging on the forum regularly last March, several ānewbiesā and I were part of a thread called Feb/Mar sober something or other, basically like a mini checkin/support group for us where we could check on each other and share our challenges and successes and it was really helpful. We were sort of all at the same point together and could relate. I think mostly women, but from all over the world. You guys could do something similar and post on the daily check in about it in case anyone wants to join you? Just a thought.

MANY of us have been there. You are not a complete shit, you are human. So get those negative thoughts out of your head or else youāll keep right on drinking.
What you need to do is dust yourself off and get back at it. Take some time to reflect on what was working, what was not working, and what youāre willing to do differently this time.

@stop.the.ride. I need a better plan. My last two slips happened when I was bored at work. I sat there and planned to stop on the way home. Bad idea!! VERY bad idea. Certainly didnāt make my job less boring.
Iām fine tonight. Getting ready to turn the light out. I will be at the gym by 5:30. A great way to start the week.

I ve been drinking constantly on weekends and doing cocaine a little too and I ended up in the hospital after a 3 day binge and now I am just starting to feel better from it all. I made stupid mistakes and now Iām counting today as being sober cause I actually feel normal that I have sleept and eat. I need help cause I clearly canāt control it my self. I have called for a addiction and alcohol support group so I can get in to counseling. I need to change I have a kid and feel horrible Iām sleeping and hung over every Sunday when she comes home. When I went to the hospital, I was scared felt like I would be judged and felt like a complete idiot. I pray to God he will help me cause Iām struggling!

Hang in there all can be good and you know it. Your blessed you know. I say that cause you said you pray to God you admitted that He will help you. Now you have to have faith that He will. (Faith is believing in something not yet seen) His word says draw closer to Him and He will draw closer to you. So you to have a part to play in your relationship with God. Iām happy for you that you want to quit. You soon will have a glow in your eyes and a peep in your walk your head will be held higher with each sober day. God Bless you Iām praying for you! Remember you are loved By God He loves you!
