Thank you @Melissa44070 everything is going awesome between she and I. It truly is a miracle and I’m blessed!
I am a believer in God and he speaks to us in many ways and with that has to be faith. I have been in a toxic relationship he continues to use sun up to sun down, being with him i have stumbled, i choise to stay sober. I think the sign was to test your strength
OK I’ve caught up and oh lord this is magic … There are a lot of people on here saying, yeah but etc… I say as long as you keep your sobriety and know that if you relapse, you will loose her, go for it! Life is for taking chances and having experiences. We are here on this earth to love and be loved. And my friend, something in you kept pushing you to not let go, and if after all, it didn’t turn out to be a good idea, the not giving up, and trying to see is what life is about. Not giving up and letting go of what you love because of our addictions etc… You have gotten a handle on your addictions, your at the beginning of your sobriety, it is very very new and you know this, so I think now that you have your faith back, your love, you will work extra extra hard to keep your sobriety, because now you have something to be sober for… You will begin to love yourself even more and fight the good fight because you are happy…
As the old saying goes, better to of loved and lost than to not at all… Well something along those lines lol… As long as you know your sobriety is your number one priority, even above faith ( I know that a hard one lol) you will be fine… We are here on this earth for love and to learn lessons and to have experiences, good and bad, and when the good comes, you go with it!!! And your good has returned it seems and I know that feeling, of being in love, when it’s all new again, it’s the best… If it’s making you happy, that’s good. A lot of people on here have given warning signals and arnt for this, I know you wear your heart on your self, and know you give to much and get very caught up easily, but if it’s making you happy, go for it… You’ve got nothing to loose, as long as you keep your sobriety. But I think you know, if you relapse, faith is at stake. And I know you don’t want to loose her again so I think this time you will be the best man you can be and then more because well, love! … George Michael sang it best lol, you gotta have faith
Wow April thank you so much!!! I really appreciate your kind words and all of the positive support, it truly mean so much. Yes it makes me even more committed to being the best I can be for sure. I don’t ever want to feel like I did when I got sober. This truly is a gift that I don’t ever want to take for granted. Thank you again for your support have a great night!!!
Right on @claire-lo I appreciate you! We have been going strong ever since and the only set back was when I started to take things wrong like I used to but after we talked about it it’s been really amazing!!! We are totally learning each other’s love languages and are in the best place we have ever been together. We both are having the best times we’ve ever had and are truly grateful for each other and the time we get to spend. I love her so much, thank you for asking about us!!!
love the update! i’m rooting for you guys.
Oh, me too! Recently read this whole thread and it brought my a racing heart, chills and tears in my eyes at the end! Take it easy and do your best to love each other well! We all need that love and connection, some never get to experience it. We are the lucky ones! Wish you two all the very best
