So my short time on here I’ve learned talking in general helps me…
Cars are one of my favorite hobbies. So here’s a run down of all the ones I’ve had since I was 16…

I’d love to hear about everyone’s old cars, projects, anything car related!
I don’t know shit about cars. But I’ve owned a few and got some pics. I like taking pics. Anyway… my boss made me manager of the restaurant I was working in and he said he couldn’t have his manager walking to work anymore. He made me buy this at the Texaco across the street.
83 Olds Toronado
55 Buick Special 4 door
87 Bronco Eddie bauer
92 V8 Dakota, that puppy had some balls, 318 in a small truck
2001 Explorer Eddie Bauer
2001 F150
2012 Flex
2002 Honda Odyssey, perhaps my favorite, comfy as crap, took a drunks neglect and beating and it had some balls for a minivan
Current is a 2010 Silverado LTZ with a 6.2l
Had an 84 Tbird turbocoupe as a project and a 91 Lincoln Mark 7 too.
Always been a Ford guy for the most part, love my Silverado though
I’d love to build a Foxbody or a Camino. Those 2 have my fascination.
I loved my V8 4x4 dakota… thing was unstoppable in the snow! I’m pretty much a Chevy guy but respect all. The 88 camaro was my first, and unfortunately only, build so far and it was a blast!
Ya it was. After about a year I paid off my boss and save up enough money for my first new car.
I was a 1981 Honda Accord Hatchback $8600. That’s right brand new $8600. I think it was 1981. 5 speed. Never drive a stick but learned rather quickly. It was so much fun. And what a difference from the Barge I was driving
Good deal for the high turn over restaurant business. I figured I had job security till I paid him off and he had a manager who lasted another ten or twelve years. First and only Kosher Deli in Austin Texas.
thanks, I’m quite pleased with it too. Other ID.3 that I’ve seen on the internet have white and/or orange interiors and trim… nasty !
Fortunately for me, too, my parking garage has a charging station !
I learned to drive in a Morris 2200 (Princess - aka the wedge} and a Ford Anglia Harry Potter, Style.
The ones I owned were:
Metro City
Fiat Panda
Peugeot 205 SRI
Peugeot 205 GTX
Peugeot 206 SRI turbo
Lotus Elise series 1 111S
Lotus Elise Series 2 111S
Honda Civic Type R
Ford Focus
Lost licence
On a full charge, about 320 km especially in the summer (rechargeable batteries always work better in warm conditions).
As far as the price goes, I don’t know to which currency you’re referring.
Mine was about 50K CHF, but I did buy one of the higher end models, complete with the panoramic roof and all the rest of the bells and whistles.
In a few months, there will be a model with a smaller battery (and hence, a lower price) for people who drive mostly in town, and I think that you can already order the model with the larger battery for people who drive a lot. As far as the batteries go, mine is the “mid-range” (and probably the most popular).
I have always been about V8 gas engines and loud exhaust…more power the better, but I think it is awesome what they are doing with electric now! A guy I work with has a Chevy Volt Hybrid. I got in and didn’t even realize it was running
And you would be surprised at the VERY quick pick-up.
If you jump on the accelerator (I was going to say “stomp on the gas”, but…), the car REALLY takes off.
One of the nice things, too, is the maintenance… about once every couple of years, changing the pollen filter and the brake fluid is about the extent of the service !
