I am at 24 hours again. today’s going to be a long day. I have to drive eight hours to go visit some family. It will be nice to see them, but I am anxious about the drive my hometown has a bunch of snow right now, which is crazy for June so I’m hoping the roads are OK everywhere else i’m going to be gone there for over a week so I’m hoping it will help me stay clean and sober
Stay safe! Drive slow-Sunday style: under the speed limit, in the slow lane. Let the speeding maniacs get in the accidents. You will be driving slow and listening to recovery podcasts
There are podcasts here:
Thank you I will definitely listen to those !
Just get through the next 24 hours sober. Enjoy the scenery and the peace of not having to worry about Juggling your addiction along with the trip. It will be a lot easier to not use or drink. You actually will remember your experiences and be in a better place to enjoy your time. Find gratitude in this road trip and be happy because there is a lot worse situations to be in. When tomorrow comes then you just get through another 24 hours. If you’re struggling or you feel Squirrley you can always come on here and reach out or call a friend or whatever you have to do to stay sober. Don’t let your brain fool or trick you. Sobriety is better in a 1000 ways!!
