Nope, just suck . I think I have it in my head I should only meditate when I am calm, and never find a ”good" time.
Funny I am opposite. I drop and meditate when shit is going sideways. Ha!
Needed a second 5 minute last night and it put me to sleep. Not sure if the second one counts then.
Day 11, 15 min before bed deep breathing meditation.
I think that is probably the correct way to do it!
30 minute body scan and mantra
Cheated with Opera music playing.
Leg fell asleep, bit of an endurance today
Glad I was willing to face disconfort
Feb 11 - 15 min laying eyes closed
Feb 12 - 10 min sitting cross legged, on floor pillow, eyes closed, lights off, incense, candle. Back burned like a mother but it was tolerable and I was able to stay meditative!!
Win.
Way to go Stella, sitting through the discomfort!
I got my 30 minutes in in the Burmese position (like cross legged) with watching the out breath, body scan and mantra. No music today
I just want to post about an experience I had last night. It was weird…
So after my 15 mins was over ( it was guided for the first 5 then singing bowls for the last 10) I went to open my eyes and I couldn’t. At first I was a little scared, and I need to explain that I didn’t feel “awake” , but I was definitely conscious, I was not asleep and not even falling asleep. So then because I felt a little frightened and honestly I wasn’t believing I couldn’t open my eyes, I said to myself ," Just open your stupid eyes or lift your arm or something." and I couldn’t. So then I spent sometime present in my body and it honestly felt like I was able to move around in my body cavity it was the weirdest sensation. Finally I gave up trying to figure out what was happening and I just let go and I guess I fell asleep.
I have no clue.
Interesting
Maybe your body was calling it a day. And wanted you to sleep. Pretty cool. You’re mind and body must have been in a whole different level.
I upped mine to 6 minutes in bed. Deep breathing.
The after that.
Rested easy
Wow! I’ve experienced something similar while waking up but never during meditation. Where I couldn’t move my arms and I was trying to force my eyes open but couldn’t for a few minutes. Very weird feeling for sure.
@Its_me_Stella
It’s so cool you guys are feeling this deep whatever it is.
I’ve had 2 meditation/relaxation type therapists in my 60 plus years from both sides of the states.
They’ve always guided me to slowly and carefully or countdown or whatever when I’m coming out of it.
I’ve never needed that advice. But almost all their meditations they have lead me out gently
“And when your ready, and only when your ready, open your eyes.” That’s what Dr Al. Taught me.
Just food for thought.
Keep sharing. I love it.
Day 12
Did six minutes last night before bed. Or should I say this morning at 12:15 am
So I guess I wasn’t ready.
Morning body scan Day 13
Leg almost fell asleep
Feels good to start the day this way
Happy Sunday to you!!

Day 12 I did 15 mins guided but if I am being honest it wasn’t that great…
I probably waited to start too late and I was really wanting it to be over so I could listen to this bedtime story that I have been listening to. The bedtime story is so strange hahaha. But I have the best sleep when I fall asleep to it (also chasing this) and as I listen I pick out some very cool gems from the gobblty gook she is speaking.
The woman is apparently a seer and has “spoken” to an Egyptian King from the past. She is relaying his story of spirituality and wisdom. It is interesting to listen to and she has a nice voice to fall asleep to…
Day 13 Afternoon 1/2 hr Body scan, Mantra and watching the breathe. Haven’t even had my coffee of the day yet, we’ll That’s About To Change
Just this present moment, together 🧘♂:raised_hands:
Day 14. Happy Valentine’s!!
1/2 hr Body Scan and mantras
My legs and back weren’t complaining today
Well my personal best daily meditataion streak has eneded around the 40 day mark, but that means I can start a new one, now. Going for five mins sitting, quiet now, wish me luck.
