This is so true, we need love, not anger to fight in this battle. Makes me think of my poor sister who’s not fighting the fight but has grown strong roots in the old system. Not breaking the fucked up legacy. But trying for a baby.

This is exactly what I have been thinking about this week. I will be where this shit stops! I’m not passing on my family trauma down through my children. That lady for putting this up, it hit a spot for me

This has been really important for me. I can’t think my way out of my pit of despair, got to let it pass, because it does eventually. And in the meantime put in place the supports or mechanisms needed to not act on the darkest thoughts. Change is inevitable, as per an earlier post by @Its_me_Stella ‘your now is not your forever’. Just got to hold on until things feel brighter 
As with lots of other things, it was around the time I began to truly accept my situation as it was without trying to change or fix it, to just allow it to be, that’s when the path to healing started. That first principle of recovery - start where we are, surrender, accept there is suffering - however you want to describe it, it applies to mental health too!

I’m sharing this one again as I need to read it over and over at the moment. My mother in law and sisters in law benefited from my brokenness and at the moment due to my hubbies niece staying with us I’m having to have more contact with them than I do normally……My boundaries are up and set but they hate them and this causes them to be shitty. I’m not moving my boundaries I’m staying resolute. This is the Me I am and I’m not changing this for alcohol or them fuckers! ……
