I just finished Russell Brand’s book Recovery and I really like his definition of addiction.
“Trying to solve an inner problem by outer means, in spite of negative consequences.”
The book makes me want to keep digging for those root causes. Let’s do another one sober all. 🫵🏼💪🏼
I just started that book a couple days ago! I’m already loving it. I appreciate his no bs approach, really makes me want to look inside myself even more!
I’m not an AA goer but I really believe I could benefit from some step work. He has me curious.
It couldn’t hurt to try it out! I started working the steps a bit ago and it helps tremendously, reading other people’s experience gives me motivation to keep working through them.
