Metal Thread (Part 1)

This was actually the first song I ever heard from Ghost. And I think their first Grammy. I was like, “this Tobias is a genius”!

So I’m going to my first show ever sober in October. The Aftershock festival. Super excited but also worried a little. Having never been to a show sober this will be an experience. Taking my accountability partner for the ride. Wish me luck and sobriety…

I did two Hellfest (french metal festival) without drinking. It was good! And I can actually remember the concerts

Opeth are in my top 5 favourite bands.
This is one of the best cover songs I’ve heard even though the Deep Purple original is great, I still think this is better.
What’s your favourite cover song??

I LOVE this cover so much. There are others I like a lot also but this is the first that came to mind. The way that All that Remains took a country song and made it metal is impressive. Posting the original as well cause it’s a good country song.

I went back and listened to them both and for me I prefer All that Remains. Jeanne Sagan coming in really does it for me.

Same! I remember when I got this album, it was the first time my wife let me play a CD in “her” car. This being the first track, it started, nice and calm, then the music kicks in and she has a disapproving look on her face, and then, WHY DO THEY ALWAYS SEND THE POOR? I was like WOW!

She turned it off. It was also the last time I was allowed to play anything in the car.

:joy::joy::joy: We have a rule. Whoever is driving gets to play their music. The hubs always drives
(He likes rap :expressionless: no lies sometimes it’s good but it gets old)

Yeah, we have the same thing. In “her” car, we listen to what she wants. In my truck, we listen to what she wants. It’s all about compromise.

I really want to post some steel panther, but I’m sure it will get flagged lol

Eminem is probably his all time favorite but he also is a huge Tech nine fan. We went to one of his concerts it was a decent experience minus me getting kicked in the head by a crowd surfer. (Who the hell crowd surfs to rap js)
He has more recent favorites but I don’t know their names. One of them is a king somebody lol
