Oh Captain! My Captain!
Robin Williams the master. I never appreciated this movie when it first came out and I was much younger. I just love this guy. :pray:t2::pray:t2::pray:t2:

We also caught most of this movie too. Our first date back in 1980. And she still married me :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Rewatching one of my favourite films from the past few years. An unsettling tale of isolation, madness and alcoholism, with a bit of supernatural in the mix. Powerful stuff.

I’m not so much a fan of newer films, but this is shot in an older style, black and white with an old aspect ratio which is very appealing to me.

I’ve been meaning to watch this movie for a while but not got round to it. This overview is going to give me the kick up the arse to do just that. Thanks!

I have just seen a French movie called : online for beginners. It was strange in the beginning but turned out to be very good. Sad when you really think of it, yet we bursted out laughing.

What was also very sad is that we were 4! People in the room. :confused: Guess that’s partly due to new and stricter covid rules.

@SoberWalker maybe something for you.

Watching now and just discovered I’m coming from the neanderthal because I’m white, blue eyed and like (definitely it’s a liked) alcohol :sweat_smile:

If you do watch it I’d love to hear what you think. It was more brutal than I remembered it. Strong stuff.

I watched this because it came from A24, but I didn’t expect to like it. I liked it a lot. Really dark, but compelling to watch. Also cool Robert Pattinson evolved into a real actor.

I think it’s the first film I have seen him in. I was impressed.

Was it worth it? I don’t know. I liked it. I like the lady from Jo Jo Rabbit. Thomasin McKenzie. It certainly won’t win or probably be nominated for any awards.
My wife thought it was lame and not scary. Suppose to be a scary movie. I enjoyed watching her. It seemed like a long music video. They wrapped the mystery up pretty nicely at the end. And she’s cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thanks for your thoughts! I’m embarrassed to say I still haven’t seen Jo Jo Rabbit. Need to get to that one!
