Movies Check-in / Reviews šŸ“¼

Iā€™ve only just now seen this. I canā€™t say I was thrilled with the movie, despite the fact that the story isnā€™t more banal than most and despite a really good cast. But it wasnā€™t that bad, imho, that is.
If nothing, Matt Smith is in it, sooooo :-))))

I have not seen TĆ”r. Iā€™ll have to check it out!

I saw Tar. Cate Blanchette is amazing and the last 10 minutes was the best of the movie. Especially the final shot. She drives the entire movie. Wow. Best seen in a theater because music is a huge part.

Loved Elvis, so much I had forgotten.

Loved Banshees, despite the WTF is going on thoughts. Incredible acting. I think the scenery should get nominated for something.

Avatar needed an editor. If you have ridden the rides a few times at Pandora at WDW, it makes it much stronger. The Navi parts carry the movieā€¦the conflict is the parts that drag.

Still waiting on Fablemanā€™s to make it to our little theater.

And I am going to check out Babylon. I love Margot Robie and over the top excess.

Maverick was fun. Loved Val.

Women Talking and Triangle are on the list.

Watched Jonah Hillā€™s documentary last night about his therapist, Stutz, on Netflix. Having participated in AA and other recovery programs, the therapist process was familiar. It was a great documentary, and I wish the world had more therapist like him in it. Definitely worth the one hour and 30 minute Showtime.

Thanks for the reminder. I heard this was good.
So much to watch.
So little time. :pray:t2::blush:

I like him a lot, thanks!!

Shotgun Wedding
Absolute turkey.
No redeeming features. Not funny. Poorly acted. Abysmal script. Shit characters.

Watched this last week, great film true story for anyone looking for a good football movie as we approach the Super Bowl. True story about the coach credited with developing the spread offense and building a competitive football program at a Texas orphanage.

I donā€™t mind the odd rom-com for some light entertainmentā€¦ But i dare you to watch this and come to a different conclusion.

Actually, I just dare you to watch it.

Actually, donā€™t.
Friends donā€™t let friends drive drunk or watch this movie.

I watched it so you donā€™t have toā€¦

I appreciate the concept and overall eerie vibe, but nothing that justifies the runtime of 90 minutes. It was one of the most infuriating and challenging movies Iā€™ve ever seen.

Saw this years ago and now itā€™s on Amazon. Not for everyone but I have a penchant for the absurd.

It was made by a French musician/film maker Quentin Duplieux also known as Mr. oizo

I saw the trailer for this and already made my mind up. Now, my buddy has a horrible taste in movies and he recommended this movie (not to mention, recommending and/or endorsing a romcom is in direct violation of guy code). The excitement in his voice only solidified my suspicions. Thank you for clarifying.

i saw a mention of this on What Cultureā€™s list of most bizarre horror movies. Donā€™t know if I actually want to watch it. :astonished:

Itā€™s pretty hilarious in my opinion. Haha.

It was good I liked.
A lot better than I thought it would be after watching the trailer.

I am going to watch A man called Otto. No idea if itā€™ll be good but I love Tom Hanks and I was not convinced of Avatar. Iā€™ll see :upside_down_face:

I liked it. I love movies about life. Living. Struggle. Sad and comic at the same time.

I didnā€™t even know there was a third Cloverfield movie until tonight. Definitely worth a watch and it ties in pretty well with the first movie - unlike the second film, which was an old script they had lying around, slightly massaged in order to use the name Cloverfield.
This was another script (The God Particle) fiddled around with, but at least it makes sense.
