Last night we had some snacks and watched Jerry Maguire and You Got Mail while eating sweets and chocolate. Highly recommended films. Especially Jerry Maguire, the best.

We love Marvel movies, especially Guardians of the Galaxy. Watched the holiday special yesterday. Then Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. We are watching the movies chronologically. Next Thor: Love and Thunder. Cool flick for a rainy day!

This is pretty fucking intense!! Maybe because I’m living in California now. I didn’t realize it was about the Camp Fire. The worst fire in Californias history 2018.
Matthew McConaughy and America Ferrera were great in it. It’s based on a true story but done Hollywood style.

Watched this on the plane, it was very heartwarming and well acted + gorgeous scenery.

Eyes Wide Shut is a Christmas movie in my head. Top 3 Kubrick movie for me, although I’ve only watched it 3 times. I got the blu ray last year but forgot to watch it around Christmas, so I waited until this year.
I think the last time I watched it was pre-pandemic. It made me more uncomfortable/unsettled this time around, not necessarily in a bad way. The whole film feels like a dream. I love reading theories about this one…what it’s about, what different things represent, etc.
It also feels very 1999 and I like that too.

I also got this at the thrift store today for 68 cents. One of my cozy/comfort movies I’ve been keeping an eye out for a physical copy of

EWS is definitely a Christmas movie. Thanks for the reminder I should plan a rewatch. I watched all of Kubrick’s films in order a few years ago. The man was a genius.

I liked it too. Prime has had some good stuff.
Christmas movie night over here. Elf now and I am at the part where everyone sings Santa Claus is Coming to Town. 
This movie is too good and pure for me to ever stop watching it.
Next up is The Ref and this will be my last year with that tradition. It’s time for me to retire that movie and it will go into the give away box when I’m done. But not without one more viewing.
Thirdly tonight, yep 3 in a night, will be Meet Me in St. Louis. This was one of my Mom’s favorites and I haven’t watched it since she passed. There will be tears at the Judy Garland Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas scene.
I’ll wrap presents (mostly food 
) and let some cheer into this coal black heart. Happy Merry season all.

Sounds like fun. I been in plenty of Christmas spirit but just not movies. I really went to town last year every night. But I never heard of The Ref. Looks interesting. Thanks. Never seen Meet Me In St. Louis either. But I don’t think I’m in the mood for that one.

I’m strongly considering watching it again tonight, despite just watching it 3 days ago. There’s so much going on, so much to take in. I end up doing this with most Kubrick, even when I’ve already seen it multiple times.
