Just watched this. Was not too bad though the trailer pretty much gives the whole plot away. Not much to expect past what the trailer shows but a quirky sorta funny show worth the watch i suppose.

I was too late to watch it in cinema. I enjoyed it. Might watch it again in OV.

Just watched it the other night and really enjoyed it. Some stellar acting - Tayana Taylor (love her!!) and Benecio del Toro - he is a treasure - were my favorites. Plus…nuns.

The soundtrack was interesting. And of course they needed to end with American Girl.

I enjoyed it. After the great job PTA did with Inherent Vice, I was a little disappointed that the film is only “inspired by” Pynchon’s Vineland. The bones of the novel are in the movie, but it is completely different.

All of the John Wick movies got uploaded on HBO. I watched the first one last night and it was badass. Definitely a great revenge type action movie and honestly this might sound funny but it made me want to buy a suit and dress better like John Wick does.. Its crazy to think there probably is people like him in real life and hitmen or whatever that we have no idea are out there and doing craziness.. Anyway .. for sure recommend The john wick movies. even if your not big on action movies this won’t disappoint

Excellent movie! A recovering alcoholic navigating life’s challenges in sobriety. I had no clue what the movie was about going in. Pleasantly surprised.

We did a family cinema day and let our daughter choose the movie. It opens with an AA celebration meeting. My husband and I looked at each other, then at her sitting between us and ask if this was a set up. :joy: She swears she chose it because of the music. I have to believe her because music is her love in life.

At one point the movie dad has a conversation with his daughter that goes something like this:

“Dad, when was the last time you went to a meeting?”
“You’re my daughter not my sponsor.”
“Well, I think you should go to a meeting.”

My daughter had this same conversation with her dad last night. We laughed so hard. Real dad went to a meeting, movie dad didn’t, but movie dad has 20 years of sobriety, where real dad probably won’t see 20 years. :joy:

It sounds like such a good movie from all the buzz I hear. Looking forward to seeing it. Love your daughter, she has some sass, like her mama!!

Probably not available for people outside Germany. It was hilarious. I was hesitant at first but it was great. Satire about catholic church in a tiny village in Bavaria.

Also highly recommendable
