I enjoy country, but there’s not the slightest bit of “country boy” in me, not in the Nashville sense. My kind of country is filled with Douglas Fir lol. I can’t remember what the song was called, because we moved on right away.
I think if I was more comfortable with it he is interested in me doing something by Garth Brooks like Friends in Low Places. I have quite a lot of resonance in the lower range of my voice so I can really hit the low notes with a punch, which I think is what made him think of it. Mostly it’s about trying new things, which I’m all for.
I love Garth Brooks!! He has plenty of songs that aren’t drinking related! I’m in between soprano 1 and alto 1, a mezzo soprano. Lol

Cool! Yeah he’s new to me so I’ve just been listening to get a sense of him.
Best I can tell, my range is C#2 to G4, whatever that gets classified as… mind you, anything above C4 needs serious work to be more consistent.
I wanna say that’s baritone I believe. But I could be wrong lol. I hope the lessons are going well!
So I’ve been thinking of writing a song about my addiction and/or recovery. I got a new journal to write things down in. I’m not sure of melody yet, part of me wants a soft and slow song, and another part of me wants a rock out jam lol. I’d like to share my ideas once I have them a little more organized, just curious if anyone would like to see them?

I just finished this song. It’s supposed to be a duet but my vocalist couldn’t make it in today on account of the snow. @anon84416494 this is the kind of music I’m doing. @ChicagoT here is new one!

I actually had my partner record vocals for the 2nd verse last weekend as this was originally meant to be a duo. We got a couple songs completed recently, another cover and a couple originals.
