If it’s any consolation I’ve been having a bit of a struggle with uttering profanities of late….mostly in my written journal, which I never share with anyone. Still, though…He still hears and sees all, right? Thanks for that reminder from Matthew 15:18. :open_book:

Another beautiful smooth day.

Yesterday, I ran into an old friend, was just getting a gatorade, we talked for an hour at the gas station.

He will be attending Church on Sunday.

Truly a blessing what is happening, what God is doing.

Was re-diving into Samuel 1.

Goodnight.

I got a different definition of procrastination yesterday that made me sit up.

“Procrastination is the arrogant assumption that God owes you another opportunity to do what you had time to do”.

It hit differently.

The longer I am sober the more it has dawned on me how selfish of a sin the overuse of drugs and alcohol really is…It’s something I did with no concern for the harm it would cause myself and those around me.

This is one aspect of where Faith and AA tie together in a way I find very powerful. You must admit you need help in a manner that is a surrender. In this process your are forced to confront that you own your decisions similar to how you own your own Faith. I believe that approaching sobriety by blaming anyone other than your own self is selfishness similar to the cause of the addiction itself.

In sobriety I have a measure of repentance for the sin of drunkenness and through Faith the commitment to sobriety is edified…Amen.

It’s been a long road.
Long, longg road.

From a being of death to life.

I always liked Matthew 6:34, where Jesus said: “Never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles” (New World Translation).

Being a chronic “worry wort”, I have to keep reminding myself of this pretty much daily. This is why the AA slogan “Just For Today” hits so close to home for me.

Wow. That is pretty thought-provoking, indeed.

While easier said then done at times.

The upside down thought, is.

The deeper you trust and let into God, the more you can worry less, into the unknown.
All takes time, its all between you and God.

Thank you for your openness.

For me, I just say, yeah, do your thing Jesus. It isn’t going to be worse than I can do.

In Jesus name.

I haven’t posted in a while. But thought this was a beautiful sermon and wanted to share. Some things explained in ways that resonated with my spirit and soul and hope it does for anyone else that watches. Merry Christmas to you all and praying for all of those who are still lost and trying to find hope. Grateful to Jesus for saving my life, and opening my eyes up to the light of the world. :white_heart::sparkles::folded_hands:
