Neighborhood Coffeehouse Gos-Sipping

YASSS!!! They are so good!!! When I first started drinking them I would buy 2 ventis cuz no trentas available for shaken espresso, boo!!! LoL I would be lets say very attentive at work after that :eyes:

Having a list of the items is cool, cuz Im over here just winging it, Ha! but they turn out!!! I knew the salted caramel coldbrew came with vanilla syrup, cuz I usually get an extra pump and an extra shot or 2 of espresso. Something about blonde espresso and that vanilla syrup, its good together.

Vanilla sweet cream is

The smallest recipe i have is
1 liter heavy cream
600ml of 2% milk
And
250ml vanilla

It makes a little less than 2 liters and is good for 2 days.

@Scorpn shaken espresso drinks are made with chilled espresso, correct? I’ve wondered, does that come premade, or is it something done in house? LoL :joy: I just assume its in a jug or bag…

Shots are pulled, then they are poured over ice, and shaken

I can’t make any of the fancy coffees
:frowning::angry: I’ve just had test results back and I’m lactose intolerant (not that I was tolerant before :smiling_imp:) which has put a major cramp on my style, no cheese, chocolate, well anything with real milk in it.
Went to ASDA to check on “lactose free” alternatives to cows milk and they’re bloody expensive, normal half fat (semi-skimmed) milk is around 40p a litre (about 30¢ a pint) lactose free which “isn’t suitable for people with milk allergy”:roll_eyes: is £2.20 a litre ($1.40 a pint) and if you want oat or almond etc it’s around £3 a litre.
I’m going to persevere and try to find reasonable alternatives to cows milk, but, at the moment I’m drinking my coffee and tea Black :pensive:

I just bought a pint of oatly ice cream for affogato :yum: I drink milk with my dinner though so I could never go w/o, it got me off of drinking 3 pops with dinner :flushed:

I would definitely try a substitute like oat milk, its not bad. Good luck :four_leaf_clover:

I have an allergy to an enzyme found in milk…so i don’t drink it either.
But (luckily) i am able to have cheese…so idk

I’m sorry you’re not able to have milk and that the alternatives are so much in your area.

You can make almond milk at home pretty easily if they are not too expensive

Wifey was right  She showed me a video, a lady makes her drink with hot espresso over espresso ice cubes, and a bunch of fluff too lol. I said that was wrong, SB serves it cold, ie out of the fridge. She said “no they dont”.

I’m surprised for 2 reasons, 1 the ice doesnt seem to be compromised by heat. 2 it doesnt seem to be watered down by melted ice, or so I thought. I should watch them make my drink, instead of glazing over my phone, I might learn something.

I typically use my blender bottle, add ice, cream (SB latte or macchiato) and syrup, shake until its like ‘sweet cream’ then add my chilled espresso, then top with real canned ‘sweet cream’, just a touch!

I made one with hot espresso before, it just melted my ice. So I guess I get why the lady used frozen coffee ice cubes so not to dilute too much. I’ve seen this coffee ice cubes thing on another video and did them once, but thats a lot of mess when I have instant ice in the freezer. I kind of like my adaptation, its super cold  and yummy :yum:

@Scorpn I was at Starbucks today and an off duty employee made a recommendation for me to try a coffee flavor at DUNKIN DONUTS!!! How could this happen? I am heartbroken and will need more sunshine on my cloudy days…:poop::poop::poop::poop:

Yes I always thought their coffee was crappy. I will just have to cope with this emotional setback as best I can…:broken_heart::broken_heart::broken_heart::broken_heart:

We don’t have the same coverage as you do in the States. Sheffield’s about 1 million people all told, that’s including the townships, and as far as I’m aware we only have one Dunkin Doughnut shop
Never been there, never going to go there, just thinking about it puts an inch on my waistline lol.

Im not a coffee snob at all but ive only recently started to regularly drink it, so much so that i bought a coffee machine about a month ago and I get a lot of use out of it. I like mine with some flavored creamer, and I make a big batch of coffee and put it in the fridge so i can have it cold. but then thats usually about it for me for caffeine for the whole day, by the time i get to work i want either a glass of water or some sprite, occasionally ill get a mr pibb though.
