I pulled up at the Starbucks drivethru today and was the only car there. The order was fine and all of that. Then the barista said ‘This one is on me’ and I got the coffee for free. Why would she have done this if nothing was wrong?
Can you please shed some light on this?
Maybe my good looks and charming personality dazzled her…

Regular (Pike) or Dark (Thanksgiving Blend). I need to try a different local Starbucks to find a darker roast with a stiff dark taste or a CoffeeMaster to talk to about my options.
I have not tried blonde cause I do not prefer lighter roasts. I will try the next closest Starbucks tomorrow and report my findings to all of you…

So my bigger one (bialetti) is a different brand and made of aluminum rather than steel. Does anyone have a preference in brand or metal? So i know which one is the best?

I’ve got a steel one now a 12 cup version and it’s superb I had a small aluminium one but the coffee just didn’t taste right, but that’s probably just me and my knackered alcoholic taste buds

I made coffee in the aluminum one last night and wasn’t sure if it was the roast i used or something else… Maybe because aluminum doesn’t hold heat as well… But it tasted kind of weak?
I just didn’t want to specify and skew anyone’s opinions

The aluminium also goes dull after a while sort of a grey colour, doesn’t affect how it works just doesn’t look very nice.
