No More Added Sugar

Thank you Eric. I was like I will but dang, over tic tacs! Hahaha I gotta be careful not to get caught up in the counters but the counters are a great motivater at the same time.

Just removing sugar for 3 days my back is already hurting so much less! I was happy to toss those things when I saw the first ingredient. Realizing how much sugar is contributing to some of my pain is an eye opener!

I think it’s been helping the inflammation in my back too. Not sure. But I know sugar cause inflammation. And I have back issues too.

Good luck at the party.
I did kind of find stopping sugar not all that difficult. As long as I didn’t buy “my stuff” and have it in the house. My wife is a butterfinger addict. It doesn’t bother me having them in the fridge. Every time I open the door :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing: I just know I can’t just eat one. Just like drinking.
Take care.

So far I’ve made it through my husband’s bday party without eating the cupcakes or the ice cream. The no sugar added Popsicles helped a lot!

Also I use this herbal tea both hot and cold to help curb the sugar craving.

Yes they do! I love the coconut ones but can’t find a zero sugar added in that flavor so I only got the strawberry. Which is more than fine. I love strawberry too.
Just getting rid of sugar for the last 4 days my weight is back down a few pounds and my back pain has decreased so much!

I really should just make more treats at home & keep stuff frozen. I have no problem with making myself sugarless snacks. I’ve just been trying to find grocery store options to have on hand “just in case.” That’s where the problems come in. Out at the farmers market a time ago my aunt who doesn’t do sugar brought me a fruit popsicle that she was like “oh there’s no sugar it’s just fruit.” Normally I don’t need to worry about the things she gives me. Checked the box when we got home and Turns out it had sucralose in it which made my mouth swell up and gave me a terrible headache. Lesson learned.

I’ve just made a batch of these date and pecan cacao balls. I decided to coat them in cacao rather than desiccated coconut this time for a change. So yummy!
1oz pecans
2.5oz medjool dates
Half tbsp each of cacao, cacao nibs, minced ginger, flaked coconut
Rind of half an orange.
