Thank you Kevin… I think my expression was wrong… I didn’t masturbate when I was aware of it, It was a wet dream, porno one.
I woke up feeling a tachycardia and I felt bad.
Wet dreams attacks me everytime I try to stop mb
I have a co-worker who recently had surgery on his phimosis penis and a trick that the doctor told him was to have cold feet to not have erections, when he was going to have an erection he walked barefoot or put his feet in a bucket of Cold water (had stitches and it hurt very much to have erections)
cold feet = penis down
=:-1:
Hi @Mounir, thanks for clarifying. Congratulations, you do NOT have to reset your counters. Wet dreams are not considered loss of sobriety. Sure are toxic though, aren’t they. But from most people’s experience, including my own, is that they will occur a lot less frequent over a short time. If fact, they completely stopped for me after a month. Good job @Mounir. You got this!
Hi @Alirose. Welcome. Thanks for sharing. MB was in my middle circle for 10 years into my first years of recovery. It was a good place for that at the time. The Three Circles is an SAA concept. Are you involved in SAA? Would love to know what programs you’ve been part of during the last 7 years. And congratulations on the 6 months of sobriety! That is so awesome!
Ok post edited, just a bad joke … well forgive me, a hug.
No problem, as I said I’m sure you meant no harm.
Day 17 18-checking in. @Mounir During my 14 day streak i did not have any wet dream. With time it will not be a problem☺
I will be starting a new streak from today☺
Okay @OnePercentBetter. Don’t give up. Here’s a thought.
For most of my life, I tried to quit MB and porn. Keeping track of days, I struggled, never having much success. 30 days was hard enough, 90, impossible…
I can accept the benefits in the reboot challenge in that initial video you posted. The problem was, I couldn’t do it. No matter how hard I tried. I didn’t know how.
It took a long time for me to accept that I was going to have to focus a lot less on quitting MB, and focus more on managing the rest of my life, concentrating on meeting the needs in my life that were being neglected, taking care of myself, making friends, being social, having a life.
God was more concerned about those things than about when was the last time I masturbated. And until I demonstrated that I was working on those areas in my life, resentment from having those voids in my life was going to fuel my craving to act out again.
I wanted to share this at the beginning, but I felt that you would receive it better after experiencing a few setbacks. I commend you for not giving up too easily. Most guys would have vanished after the first slip. But now it’s time for you to take a different approach. Trust me, I know from experience. There is a better way. I haven’t MBed for 69 days now. And before I met my wife, I was able to practice 1 year without PMO. And that was a good year because I was taking care of myself, I had a lot of friends, I was doing hobbies. And from that, I released the MB from my life. It wasn’t the other way around.
Hey @KevinesKay I have not given up. I thought of doing it all over again so that i could be more dedicated to reach my target. Thanks for ur advice. It was due to your constant updates and support that i made it so far.Keep doing it.
Day 1-Felt good to be back:slight_smile:
Hi @OnePercentBetter. You’re response concerns me. I want to see you succeed and I want to encourage you. And I want to share my experience with what works and what doesn’t.
Keeping track of the days with a 90 day challenge is not effective. We all here encourage one another to abstain from our addictions, but we also understand the consequences of white knuckling. Just trying to abstain from a behavior without doing the necessary work on ourselves via the 12 steps, SMART, or some other self reflecting plan will only work for so long.
Let’s start with this. First, I want to know YOUR reasons for wanting to avoid MB. Don’t refer me to someone else’s video. This is your life. This is your journey. If you can come up with good reasons to stop MB that work for you, awesome. Finding intrinsic motivation is a plus.
Second, find some things that you’re going change about your life starting now and hold yourself accountable to that. Such as, starting today, I’m going to:
Work out 3 times a week.
Call a friend every day.
Get enough sleep every night.
Give 5 encouraging replies to others on this forum every day.
It doesn’t matter what, but we have to quit measuring our progress based upon whether or not we’ve acted out. Life is more than that. And it’s important that we start demonstrating that we’re living it right now, not when we’ve achieved a certain amount of sobriety.
I know it’s makes more work for you, but I really care. I want you to make it. Please consider. Thanks
Hi everyone got busy for a few days:slight_smile:
@KevinesKay I want to do this because i want to concentrate more on positive things rather than allowing bad thoughts to kill my time.I want to focus on my life and dreams and work towards a positive healthy life:slight_smile:
@OnePercentBetter, that’s good. This project now transitions from running away from MB and grows into running toward something better. Thanks for sharing. So would you be able to share some tangible dreams that you would like to pursue? Or what positive behaviors you want to incorporate in your life?
For instance, one of my dreams is to get back into working out at least 4 times per week. And I want to be able to bench 300 pounds. And lose my gut.
Hi @KevinesKay .I am now trying to engage my evenings by doing activities I love such as dancing.I now want to try to meditate every day.
Hi I recently completed 20 days nofap and relapsed.I found that now I dont feel the urges as I used to have.I have better control of myself now
Hey @OnePercentBetter, that was almost 1/4th the way to your original goal. I think that was your best result so far. Nice! You’re getting better at this.
Ok I’m gonna try this out!
