Noooooo. You leaving?! What will we do then
Press on, regardless.
Where are you from? Your English is better than mine!
Ofcourse will do, but you lacking is no good anyway
If that is the case then I am out. All I can promise is that i will be sober today.
Yeah I worded that pretty piss-poorly, but I was thinking more along the lines of if a relapse occurs what the plan is.
For example I hold a couple service positions in my Intergroup. If I were to relapse I would have to step down from those positions as they require at least 1 year of continuous sobriety.
said it before and i’ll say it again!! (but she won’t take it) @SassyRocks
two others who have consistently demonstrated fairness, tolerance, and genuine kindness in all their posts on this forum
Well thank you @les. I am not on here much anymore and not sure if that matters for the position. If it doesn’t, then I may be interested this time around. I do travel every few months, so there would be times I am 100% not available…again, not sure if that would be an issue. Perhaps @robin can speak to what is involved? I will also pm him.
What about you @les I also think @anon46927530.
Awwww thank you so much…
I nominate:
@Kris10af1
@CaptAZ
@MandiH
@anon46927530
@Peace12
(Had to edit and nominate @Peace12)
well if you do take it i think it would be a tremendous benefit to the forum. @NewPerspective isn’t outwardly all that active any longer either and he fulfills the responsibilities of moderator in perfect fashion.
i just can’t think of any other member who demonstrates such level headedness as sassyrocks. youre a peace keeper and you have great suggestions as to recovery options. dont get me wrong i love aa, its given me my life back, i go almost daily. but part of the beauty of this forum is that it isnt aa, and i think we’d benefit from a mod who keeps that in mind
The Netherlands Fran, and you?
I couldn’t agree more!!
I’m really excited to see who becomes the new mod.
Finger crossed for @CaptAZ
Goodness. I am humbled. Thank you @les. And I do agree that keeping the forum open to non AA perspectives is important.
I agree, @NewPerspective is a great moderator.
Thank You @anon44659383 and @fireweed. It’s truly an honor to be thought of in such a way and considered for this very important role within our community. However due to the fact I can be easily bribed with gifts of dark chocolate and coffee, I must humbly decline any such role. Thank You again for the high honor of being nominated. I truly do love theis community and it’s people. Stay strong all…
However I’d also like to nominate the following for their fairness, wisdom and overall jolly personalities:
@anon12657779
@ChicagoT
@MandiH
@Twowaymirror
@Jimmy7-30-17
@anon46927530
@CaptAZ
@Yoda-Stevie
3rd monkey and Capt Az have cool beards so yeah, theres that and yes I know Yoda-Stevie says he’s leaving us, but Yoda and many other great jedi or martial arts masters have continued to provide wisdom and guidance form beyond…
I honestly don’t think whether they do AA should matter. But I think it’s important that have some sobriety under their belt (@SassyRocks @SinceIAwoke just for a couple examples) bc I really feel like people in very early sobriety might do well to focus on sobriety. But I also feel that being of service is important in early sobriety so it’s a double edged sword.
