It’s day 8 for me. Went to an outdoor concert/birthday party and was “stuck” having to drive a lay I always considered boring. She’s not much of a drinker. As it turned out, she wasn’t boring at all and we promised to see each other soon and planned to hike together in the future. Funny how interesting people can be when I am NOT drinking. Added bonus, I didn’t have to worry about getting a DUI, didn’t have to worry that she might worry that I might drive drunk, AND, we got to view the SUPER MOON on the way home. Very grateful this morning. ODAAT.

Well, it’s great that people that are working on getting sober are having a great time in life. I really mean it. Obviously you don’t have to worry about being so depressed that you can’t get out of bed. That’s my fate. I guess i damaged my brain too much!!!
Yes! It feels good not to feel sick, ashamed, paranoid. Mornings are the best, so peaceful.
No hangover in 8 eight days. You described my hangover symptoms perfectly. Got to be designated drive tonight - no shame.

I know you said “got to be”… Do you enjoy these gatherings around alcohol? I know the bar scene for me got very boring without drinking. Lots of other stuff to do, but is it mainly about friends?
Either way it’s great you’re setting yourself up to succeed. And hopefully make your companions safe.
