I don’t like using chat gbt but thought I would give it a shot as I’ve heard it can help formulate workouts based on individual needs / restrictions.

I asked for alternative exercises to Russian twists when dealing with bad backs and abdominal nerve damage. Thought these may be helpful to others too ..

:one: Dead Bug

  • Lie on your back, knees above hips
  • Opposite arm + leg extend slowly
  • Keep core tight and back flat
    GREAT for stability and doesn’t stress the spine.

:two: Bird Dog

  • From hands/knees, extend opposite arm + leg
  • Hold a second, switch sides
    Strengthens deep core muscles + improves balance.

:three: Modified Plank (Knees Down)

  • Engage abs gently, avoid sagging hips
    You can progress to full plank later if comfortable.

:four: Heel Slides

  • On your back, slide one heel out + back
    Works lower abs without strain.

:five: Seated Knee Lifts

  • Sit straight in a chair, lift one knee at a time
    Good if floor work is tough right now.

:six: Glute Bridge

  • Lift hips with core + glutes engaged
    Supports lower back strength.

Day 8 and 9 completed yesterday.

Will have to do day 10 tomorrow with a slow pace walk on day 11

Today I should be on day 7 catching up (active recovery) but I haven’t done much active recovery. I guess the walk through the supermarket doesn’t count! Tomorrow more to come! :flexed_biceps:t2:
