Opinions please friends/Yorkshire pudding thread

Maybe its because i was brought up with the yorkshire pud :grin:

Yes il have a plan in place, i just want to try and normalise being around people kind of as part of my recovery if that makes sense…

Yorkshire puds with jam in and cream… Yeah we did that in the Midlands…

But Yorkers are for beef dinner. I don’t like beef so have them with chicken.

I am a little late to the party, but I think it is a safe space for you to work on your goal of normalizing being around people having a drink or two. Wise choice taking that step at home. I support your decision as well. And your menu sounds lovely! What time should we arrive? :smile:

My granda used to eat them with jam apparently, il eat them with any dinner, sometimes with stew aswell

Yeah, the Brits are a weird folk sometimes. But I made it my home, can’t imagine ever going back to Germany.
And food in Britain isn’t aweful at all, as it’s often portrayed. It’s actually quite yummy :yum:

The Yorkshire pudding wrap!!!
Usually sold at Christmas markets and fun fairs. A giant Yorkshire pud, filled with your choice of meat and/or veg. Rolled up and sealed in a panini press.

Lots of good responses here. For me, my house is and will continue to be alcohol free. I pay all the bills, if people visiting me can’t abstain for a few hours, I find that concerning. Something i feel strongly about is maintaining an alcohol free house :blush:

As long as it’s not tempting or triggering for you, and I guess it won’t be or you wouldn’t be doing this. I think it’s a good move. And you set a very reasonable boundary for yourself.

First, the fact that the real issue up for debate on this thread is about yorkshire pudding (“pud”) made me LOL.

Second, you know if you are ready. I’m coming up on 1.5 yrs and I’ve served wine in my home for dinner, exactly as you described. It came in with the guests and left with them too. I didn’t find it triggering for me under those conditions and boundaries. I think it helped too that my guests had a glass and didn’t overdo it at all.

What felt really good? Having to find and dust off some stemware for them. :smile:

Realizing they are their own thing, are they kind of a combination between a stuffed biscuit and a pot pie? I’m going to find a recipe. Yum on the Yorkshire pudding. I only ate scones in Yorkshire and everywhere else over there.

They dont have a filling Alisa unless you choose to do so, they are just kind of a side to a roast dinner…its an eggs, flour and milk batter mix that you put into oil in a very hot oven and they rise xx
