Photos of where you live

Probably all of us have been to a courthouse. I’m just grateful for my massive mess ups where I wasn’t busted. They saved my life. In hs, walking home from a party, I decided to sleep in someone’s driveway at 1am and they called police. (I’ve always been totally honest with cops and that’s been my saving grace). A cop picks me up, says where do you live, pulls into my driveway and says have a good night.

A month after my first and only dui I’m driving and it’s 2am and I’m hammered. 2 cops pull behind me in a residential area. I pull into a shopping center and they don’t follow. I called an uber.

As a junior in hs, I was a lifeguard. I had a half day of school and drank a ton before my shift. My coworker approaches me on the stand and says I reek. My boss then talked to me for half an hour. He was aloof or didn’t want to ruin my life, probably a combo. Pretty sure cops don’t take well to lifeguarding hammered anywhere.

My life has been a roller coaster but thank god I got out of those situations. I’m forever grateful!

The farmhouse I live in. It was built in 1847. Kind of funny to think this house was here before Canada was actually a country

And the view from the side porch shown in the above picture.

One of my favorite places to come when I need to clear my head, pray or meditate. And the one photo is the side street that leads to the water. Probably a two minute walk from my apartment. To the left where all the city lights are that is downtown. I live in the suburban part of downtown but where all the big buildings are is to the left and over this bridge.

There is a lot of different little parks or places to sit or hang out where I live this one is pretty close to that side street by the water that I just posted

A park with Musical instruments in the ground!

If anybody decides to move to Jacksonville you won’t have to worry about parks. Parks every quarter mile

Alright no more where I Live Photos tonight I promise :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I love how the spruce trees get these lime-green “shoots” of new needles every spring. They’re so soft and the bright colour makes me happy :innocent:

The Erie Canal descends over 60 feet through a series of locks as it crosses the Niagara escarpment in the center of my city. From the bottom to top…

The upside down bridge aka ‘the trussle’

Some of the locks

The Big Bridge. The widest in the world when it was built 100+ years ago. 200 feet across, 400 feet wide. Hard to capture at eye level…

But here’s a pretty cool aerial view (obviously not mine) showing all of the above (minus the trussle at the bottom) This must be pretty old bc Friendly’s closed a while ago

(I live 3 blocks from the bottom right)

Then there’s these things. They have a distinct presence around them  Honestly, creepy.

I get nervous driving when i have to dodge a few deer. This is crazy and also really funny for some reason. Instead of horns honking, im imagining a lot of baas
