My Hometown…
Thanks Eric some of the coolest pictures that I get when I’m walking around is when I just randomly take a picture and I’m not trying to be a photographer.. That’s when they turn out cool. But if I try they aren’t good
This time of year it rains a lot. I really like the rain because it slows down life for a little bit. I was in Arizona for a year and I remember when it finally rained after being there for like eight months or something crazy and I ran outside and I was jumping around and my cousin just didn’t understand why I was so happy.
Where I live in Jacksonville is called Riverside. This is why ![]()
Pretty much every side street leads to the water.. There is lots of cool little meditation spots that I go to pretty often. To me they are meditation spots to other people they might be called other things.
Recently though I had the idea of learning how to fish. That might be something new I could look into for a hobby. And there is countless places I can go
From my corner of the NW mainly West facing sun trap of Londonium. My living room was about 33 degrees at this point.
.
It pretty though, can’t deny.
My po-dunk Coastal town goes all out on the fourth of July. We had the city fireworks and two private parties lighting the beach up this year and competing for the best fireworks. It was awesome! I have been very busy. Sorry so late.
On my way to Walgreens earlier.. had to stop at yacht basin Park to chill by the river for a little..That park is probably a two minute walk from my apartment and I go there all the time. There definitely is no shortage of parks especially in this part of downtown.
Love this time of year. Especially when the sun is coming down and it’s not as hot even though the hot weather doesn’t bother me anymore. I used to look forward to winter but now I’d rather it be summer all the time. I really think that has to do with sobriety and wanting to be outside Walking, biking, or skateboarding.
Not where I live anymore, but some photos from my final year or so living in my home state of Massachusetts. I spent the pandemic in an apartment in a semi-rural town, alone with Chief. Autumn 2020 was also my final autumn in MA, and it’s one thing I really miss living in the desert. October in New England is perfection.
As much as I was struggling mentally at the time, I miss that ~ year sometimes. I was alone and just beginning a fresh start. My building was right up against a forest with an informal walking trail along a stream. Lots of fish jumping in the evenings. I encountered deer back there all the time, one time got a little too close to a large buck by mistake (wasn’t paying attention).
It was great in the rain because the leaf cover was so dense that you wouldn’t really get too wet. It produced an amazing sound too. Peaceful.
Photos are June 2020 to April 2021.
Can’t believe this was already 5 years ago.
Probably have posted similar photos before because I hang out at the same places and walk around the same areas! What a beautiful day ![]()
