Physical appearance changes after sobriety?

Im wondering what physical changes those who have been sober for any amount of time can share with the group. One of the things i am concerned about is the blood vessels in my face that cause redness. Ive been told i have great skin…when i have makeup on and nobody can see the redness. Do those blood vessels shrink with time or are they there forever? Feel free to share any other physical changes like weight loss, hair regrowing, better bowel movements (yes we are grown and can discuss such things bc its part of the problem), regaining strength and energy, etc.

When i quit drinking 5 years ago for 2 years i gained 40 lbs. Started drinking again and lost it. But this time trying to get sober i switched my food comforts for strenuous exercise. Its helping alot. And wards off the weight gain. Im not losing weight but i am losing inches.

I only have 73 days but, despite eating tons of sweets, I have lost that bloated look and 17 pounds. I am regular now. Still have a little red blotchy skin but, it is greatly improving. It is so smooth now with no bumpiness. My hair felt like it was thinning but is now super thick. Still feeling a little tired at times but with vitamins that is starting to improve. My health has greatly improved. Anxiety attacks have almost disappeared. No rapid heart beats. It is great. I am amazed by the vast improvement!

I feel like for some reason I am breaking out more than normal, which annoys me!! I have lost that dead look to my skin though, and my red blood vessels on one cheek have diminished a little. Also not feeling so bloated and gross. 30 days tomorrow!!

Booze used to have my face red, flushed, chubby, only, but still also dry and flakey.

After only a week my skin tone started to return, and a few weeks later my old self began returning… better than ever.

Looks in selfie camera… Nope. Still ugly as ever. LOL

Friends told me my face looked better within 30 days of quitting. I wasn’t able to notice the difference but they did. I think it was less bloating and less redness. I lost a lot of weight (approximately 40 pounds) when at six months sober I got a Fitbit and adopted a very regular, fairly intense walking (later also running) routine. I love the weight loss and that I almost never feel bloated anymore.

I’m day 78. Down 5 lbs. No other noticeable changes. But that five pounds was sure stubborn while I was still drinking…

I definitely have better posture from being less exhausted, consume less caffeine, my hands shake less, and I’ve been told my face looks better (whatever that means)

Oh yeah…and I’m kind of a better dancer now lol

I thought I would have lost some weight by now. The scale says I gained a pound! I’ve been exercising more. My clothes fit better.
I’m searching for another thing to be excited about. Another sign that this is good. Something to keep me going.

My skin all over is much less dry, which makes a huge difference in the winter.

Everyone says my skin looks better, and like some of you I’m not sure what that means. I think my color might be better? I lost weight twice in massive doses, mostly because of detox the first time and an infection the second time. My weight went back up and I can’t lose it because of a medication I’m on. Working my ass off at the gym and hopefully being tapered off said meds will yield that beautiful result. My hair is definitely thicker. Anxiety is damn near gone compared to what it was. I’m constipated instead of the nasty stuff that comes with massive drinking, but that will probably change with the meds too.

Biggest difference people seem to notice is the skin thing and apparently my eyes are super clear and shiny.

Not sure if I dance better, but I can’t imagine that I dance worse!

222 days clean.
