My baby girl missed me! Miss Lupe gave me a happy welcome home with lots of kisses and now she’s relaxed but kind of mopey. I think she’s relieved her pack is reunited. I missed her!!!

Photo is from yesterday, but I’m lying here watching TV before I start my morning routine. Chief is in bed next to me, under the covers & snoozing, and he just HOWLED in his sleep! A long, drawn-out, bonafide howl. That’s a new one after 5 yrs.

Oh my gosh! Lupe did that about a month ago and the hair on our necks raised immediately! First time ever. From my experience, our dogs’ dream land became more animated as they got older, believe it or not.
Lupe has been spoiled rotten! She loves my Mami, who has a reputation of being an animal whisperer. Even though she has never had a desire for pets of her own, her sister’s pets and mine love her.

45 min playtime in the rain this morning. A nice big breakfast topped with cottage cheese (his favorite, goes crazy for it. Has memorized the sound of the container being opened, and will hear it from 10 miles away). A quick stroll in the woods once the rain died off.
So now it’s cozy blanket naps for a bit.
