Lunch break checking on my daughter, calypso and phoebe. Phoebe does not like other animals much. She is not pleased about the addition but is tolerating calypsos presence

It’s a good sign that Calypso is out and not hiding, and if Phoebe is tolerating her already, I’d call that a Win! :hugs:

My last dog Jake started out tolerating Riley when she came home when he was around 4. Riley adored him from day 1. Unfortunately Jake never got past the tolerating her, but they were a good team. He would let Riley sit next to him, but he would usually move if she touched him.

I’ve even seen Max know Riley was sitting next to him, he lets her touch him. But he will often smell her and move his face as far away as possible.

He was a rescue. We live in the country. My wife was going to the grocery store when some lady was on the side of the road with him. Came back from the store and he was just there. Nothing but bones covered in ants and couldn’t hardly walk. So she came home w a basset. 5 years later he’s happy and healthy (and very lazy. Doesn’t go far from that porch lol). Some people can be cruel!!! But he’s got his forever home now!!!
